Katra Experience: Everybody know about the katra is a very nice place and people want to come again and again because of MATA RANI DARWAR. and I also want to come again here.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was not bad but I enjoyed sightseeing and want to see again and again. about shopping i missed it.

Activities & things to do: there is limit activities in this city

Katra Experience: pehle ham jammu gye phir waha se katra phir vaishno devi or uske bad shiv kodi or phir patnitop waha bahut enjoy kiya friends k sath

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: jo bhi tha jaise bhi sab acha tha but yr maja bahut aya...

Katra Experience: i like to go in country inn hotel at katra in jummu because we went with family and we enjoy it......

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food was verry good,sight seeing is allso good to see,and in market was allso verry good.

Activities & things to do: children were enjoyed with family.

Katra Experience: katra is basically for vaisno devi only so if u want to go there be preprare for rock climbing

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food was good all around, and not to be missed darsan of vaisno devi

Katra Experience: Katra is very good location . I have came at katra for darshan of vaishno mata.over all experience for katra is execellent

Katra Experience: Vaishnodevi near katra is the holy place to visit. The base camp near Vaishnodevi is Katra. A small town having no. of hotels to stay & restaurants for food.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The darshan of Mata Vaishnodevi, Baba Bhaironath & Aardhkumari. Climbing of mountain and darshan of ma vaishnodevi is the main attraction. Jammu Kashmir tourism shops for woolen cloths & dry fruits are the shopping destinations at Katra.

Activities & things to do: Shopping.

Katra Experience: Trip to vaishnavdevi was very good The hotel where we were staying had a very beautiful scenes of snow clad mountain tops the overall experience was very nice.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Hotel food was very tasty and authentic Sightseeing on the way to vaishnavdevi we experience snow fall the it was vey beautiful

Activities & things to do: Devi darshan and evening we can go to market

Katra Experience: Want to have Darshan of Maa Vaishnav Devi together with visit to Srinagar and surrounding area.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Want to visit Patnitop, Pahalgaon, Gulmarg and to have taste of Rajma-chawal with desi ghee and other vegetarian food of Punjab which is available in J& K.

Activities & things to do: To have a feel of Shikara and stay at House Boat.

Katra Experience: A destination with enchanting of Mata everywhere. When you start, it seems difficult, but a strange power keeps forcing you ahead. The experience is so great that you get ready to visit it again despite all the pain you feel at the end of your journey.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Just stop anywhere you want to and enjoy the beautiful mountains surrounding you. Every view is worth watching and appraising.

Activities & things to do: Mata Vaishno devi ki chadhai. Visit market to buy gifts for your loved ones. Would always be economical than Jammu market or so called 'Govt. shops'.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Take a train to Jammu (8 hrs journey from Delhi), then bus to Katra (1.5hrs). Simple to reach.

Katra Experience: Good destination to stay while visiting vaishno devi

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Vaishno devi darshan.

Activities & things to do: Purchasing dry fruits from local market is a big no, until you have knowledge of shop from where to purchase.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Keep things to cool yourself while travelling from Jammu to Katra during summers.

Katra Experience: Destination is good, nice location,very sacret amoung indians

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was very good-Haveli food court, nearby nine devi temples, Patni top

Activities & things to do: just relax, after vaishnodevi darshan, if want to go by helicopter book one month in advance online.

Katra Experience: katra is the door step to the vaishno devi yatra and is about two hour distance to jammu by road

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: nothing needs to be said,

Activities & things to do: helicopter ride, horse ride, trakking etc, and above all maa vaishno devi darshan

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: connected to jammu by road where you can reach by train or by air.

"VAISHNOVDEVI MATA KI YATRA"

Katra Experience: After all our hectic schedule and stressful if you need to spend some time to shed the stress this is the right place. Dont use helicopter. Just go walking for sixteen kms to take darshan. All the people chanting jaikara sherowali ka sache darbar ki jay and you do know how you climbed steep 16 kms.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Have a light food in sher-e-punjab restaurant katra in the evening and start your yatra. You should reach before aarti to avoid rush. Have darshan and travel back. Retire at a hotel. You will feel fresh in the morning.

Activities & things to do: Its a pilgrim centre. The yatra itself is a good source of exercise to keeping your body fit.

"Holy Shrine of Maa Vaishnodevi"

Katra Experience: The destination Katra is always fascinating to me as Vaishnodevi, the holy mother of all Hindus have her Darbar there. I am going for Darshan the Holy Shrine of Maata Rani once in a year from last 13 years. So, for me this destination is not for sight seeing or roaming here and there. It is more than anything else.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: No Sight seeing. Shopping only for Prasad of Maa Vishnodevi

Activities & things to do: We have pleasure here to go to Darshan of Maa Vaishnodevi in Katra.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Please take Flight to Jammu and Train is also good but bit time consuming.

Katra Experience: fine place to visit in and around jammu and of course it is a base station to vaishnodevi shrine temple

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: It is not a place for shopping and sight seeing

Katra Experience: It is a temple town and people who wish to pray to deity - Vaishnodevi - only need to travel to this place. It is not a fun spot.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: You do get decent food in the eateries in the Katra town. Rajma & Chawal is amply available. Don't try any south indian dishes. They just don't know how to prepare it.

Activities & things to do: It is a temple down. Trek to the temple on the top of Trikut mountains which is 11.5 kms from the base. It is worth all the effort put to trek the mountain.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Fly to Jammu and take a cab to Katra which is 55 kms from Jammu.

Katra Experience: Katra is the base town for vaishnodevi pilgrimage. overcrowded with tourists

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Manoranjan dhaba serves good veg meals cooked in desi ghee. value for money
