Kolkata Experience: Kolkata is the most vibrant city in India. The city has some heritage destinations to visit. People are good. Situated beside the hooglee river and well connected by railways roadways and by air. Best time to visit is nov to feb.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Kolkata is best known for its street food. One can find various types of food in the streets of kolkata. They are hyginic and good in taste. Dont miss the famous rolls and indian style chinese foods also taste fuchka. For shopping you van visit new market area.

Kolkata Experience: Good place to visit. Nice night life and nicco park science city and hawara bridge some some area totally untidy and very dirty. metro is nice

Kolkata Experience: Good this is the only city which still has TRAMS & i love it and the old architecture make it look very simple but beautiful

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Since i am a sea food lover i enjoyed the best of Kolkata even the sweets are of so many variants i faced difficulty but most of which i tried were fantastic

Activities & things to do: Keep moving & watching the Gothic structure of Kolkata

Kolkata Experience: Kolkata has been nicknamed the City of Palaces and also the City of Joy. City of Palaces comes from the numerous palatial mansions built all over the city and City of Joy comes from the lively and friendly and loving behavior of all the citizens all over the places making the city more lively and enjoyable.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Shopping New Market also known as Hogg Market & Gariahat Market. Restaurants Aminia ( Esplanade), Arsenal & Shiraz golden restaurant ( Park Cicus) for Mughlai Cuisine, Park Street & Tangra for Chinese food & Peerless Hotel Aheli ( Esplanade) for Bengali food.

Activities & things to do: Visit to maidan, Monument ( Sahid Miinar , Victoria memorial Hall, The Indian Museum, Princep Ghat, Science City, Jorasanko Thakur Bari ( House of the poet Rabindra Nath Tagore). Dakhshineswar Mandir & Belur Math; Nakhoda Masjid : St Pauls Cathedral. to name a few.

Kolkata Experience: Kolkatta is not peasent destination for a turist/visitor. The facilities like taxi/public transport and food are not comparable to other Metros. But the costs are cheap, People are good, intellectuals most of the time and there are some historical monuments to visit. You get a feel of British culture even to day.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Good chines food is available all over the place at lesser cost.Bengali sarees and Rasgullas are the only special at Kolkatta.

Activities & things to do: Visit historical places lke Victoria Memorial,Khali ghat, Shanthinikatan,Walk through The Park Street.Eat good Chinees food.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Airport is a bit for from main city and traffic is horrible. So start a little early. Metro and local trains are avialable for reaching Rly station.Trams are also operated in city but it is difficlt manage to get in and out.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Hotel Udupi a street away from Komala vilas for good south indian food .

Kolkata Experience: The very nearest railway station is sealdah and it is a centre point at the heart of the city, you can move anywhere in kolkata from here easily.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Rishika restaurent, big bazarsealdah, bits bajar kolkata etc.

Activities & things to do: aquatica, at new town kolkata, bits bazar, metro stations.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: At kolkata you please prefer journey by local train, metro rail, city busses, be ware of taxis, for their overcharge fare. Prefer google map plan through local train or metro rail.

Kolkata Experience: As a city, Calcutta can be slow. Taj Bengal more than compensates for it with their swift, diligent service.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Their restaurant 'Sonargaon' serves the most delectable of indian food one can have. its a not to be missed for sure.

Activities & things to do: You come to this hotel to relax after work.

Kolkata Experience: Cultural atmosphere.Taxi drivers were found to be honest.Mixture of heritage and modern culture.Crowded but traffic regulation seems to be good.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Barbeque Nation, Salt lake city favorite restaurant.For saree shopping Traders Association shop at Ras Bihari avenue Garia Hat found to be good.Malls are standard.Bellur math is good.Shantiniketan is good.New Howrah bridge is fantastic technological marvel.

Activities & things to do: Take a stroll on Esplaned.

Kolkata Experience: Kolkata as it is a good place to stay away from home in a homely atmosphere. People are very helping and gentle.There are as per me the worlds best Sweet Shops for sweet lovers.The Metro,the trums and the busy traffic in Kolkata add to the charm of going there.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food lovers paradise if you call it like that.Kolkata has food catering for all the strata of the society.You can enjoy worlds best sweets in the Mouchak,Balaram Malik etc shops.You can go to the Padda parer Ranhaghar for delicious traditional bengali food.Besides this there is the Bhojo Hari Manna Retora, which I think,serves the worlds best bengali dishes.So go out and have fun and good food at kolkata.

Activities & things to do: As it is Kolkata is a very active city made up of populations from all over India.There is the Nicco park which can be a abode for children as well as the Adults.You can spend a whole day roaming about in the park.Then You can go to the Victoria Memorial and spend some time in the relics of history.There horse riding and chariot riding along with helicopter ride is available for your choice.From Kolkata you can easily visit the Digha Beach,Mandarmoni beach but for that you have to make a night stay at either Mandarmoni or Digha.

Kolkata Experience: A bustling city. Plenty to do and see.we spent five days there and would have liked to spend more.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Peter Cat , mocambo , Barbeque serve execellent food .execellent kebabs and fish.fish diana at mocambo is very good Sightseeing the bridges the victoia memorial the old calcutta are worth seeing

Kolkata Experience: Kolkota is a nice place to visit, very cool calm and helping people, good hospitality

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: good food in Maharashtra niwas, but no food or restaurants nearby or close for good food, mostly people eat on roads, shopping is good and cheap, sight seeing is good , traveling by metro, trams, bus is very cheap

Activities & things to do: learning hub, various activities, courses to do for all.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: by train, by plane, one can visit by any one route, if planned one can stay for long period in very less amount of money.

"The superb tourist place"

Kolkata Experience: Kolkatta is a must to see place. The science city is really marvellous and one may require minumum 5 days to see evrything throughly and understand. It will be very worthful in knowing the science by practical examples. In my view victoia hall is 100 times better than Taj mahal. The collection in museum is huge and i ahve not seen such a good museum in my life.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Jaggery rasagulla is must to taste.Keep at least 4 days so that you can see the place throughly. Spend 2 days in science city. 1 day for victoria hall,birla auditorium & museum and remaining one day in Nicco park and shoppings.

Activities & things to do: Go for shopping when time permits. All price are reasonalble and even cheap. Do not forget to taste varities of rasagulla and other sweets.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Better hire a local taxi to save time. Avoid going out after 10 PM. local bus is not so good,but Metro train is good.

Kolkata Experience: It is a beautiful place to see around. we sight saw for one day, and were left asking for more,we could not find time to see the inside shows of the science city and even th nikko park since we had to go to sunderbans the next day,..

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The ganga ghat, the victoria place, the science city and many others

Activities & things to do: None, would like to visit the palace once more..

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Hire a cab suggested by the hotel and book the west Bengal tourism buses way ahead if u don't want o find them booked.

Kolkata Experience: I was in Kolkata for 2 days only and could roam for a day only as I had to go to Gangasagar. But it was a good experience.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: I liked science city and Victoria house (as I could visited only 2 places during my stay). :)

Kolkata Experience: Kolkatta is a great place to visit. Best time to go is in winters.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Stay at Hotel Hindustan International - Great location, convenient and good food. Neat and clean rooms.
