Kollur Experience: Destination was good.Temple is very nice to watch.But cleanliness of all over the surroundings was not so good

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: you can get many restaurants and lodges near by

Activities & things to do: Visit temple in early morning

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: anyone can reach byndoor by train from mangalore.from byndoor buses are available to kollur

Kollur Experience: Kollur is a very nice place.But the overall cleanliness of the area is not so good.Visit temple in the evening and early morning.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Other than souparnika river there is no sight seeing options here

Activities & things to do: Visit temple in early morning

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Any one can reach byndoor by train.From there private buses are available to kollur.

Kollur Experience: The place is well maintained and it is a pilgrimage place a three hours journey from Mangalore. It is a place where everyone should come and have the blessing of sakthi.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is a average.

Activities & things to do: The devotional place.

Kollur Experience: One of the nice place to visit.Souparnika lake is very near to this temple.And also kudajadri one of the hill station which is also there to visit.Through train we can easly come to this destination.After getting down at byndoor or Kundapura we can either travle in bus or in cab to reach all these places.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Kudajadri which is very near to this temple

Activities & things to do: It is a forest,so to be preapred accordingly

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Get down at manglore and from there lots of buses are available to kollur temple.Byndoor is the nearest station from there also we can get some buses.Buses will be minimum from byndoor.Kundaoura also we can get down.There is only 5 km distance between this kundapura and byndoor.

"A Trip to the Sacred Hills"

Kollur Experience: A good place for those who need a peaceful atmosphere to spend in a sacred place where we can have our all egos to surrender.Sacred mountains and Souparnika give great memories of the past visits,especially to 'Kudajadri',the place where Adi Sankaracharya founded the' Matta.'

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Favourite restaurants are none but only average,shopping is good with different varieties of musics, photos and ornamental articles.

Activities & things to do: Darsan,mountanairing,walking along the streets,the famous' Annaprasa',Shopping,and many.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Mangalore by road reaching direct to kollur Mookambika temple is best,buses are available.By train upto Byndore station and by bus or other mini vehicles from there is also comfortable.

Kollur Experience: Amazing experience. New place, new people. Spiritual trip to Kollur. Homeliness at Karnataka. Hotel we stayed was at close proximity to the Mookambika temple. Adventurous trip to Kudajadari, evergreen forest, iron ore, leache was some of the new experience.

Kollur Experience: Good religious place with inherent strong attraction and scenic nature ,sauparnika river splendid and cool kodachadri hills

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Restaurants are all of the same taste.

Activities & things to do: Bathing in sauparnika river and trekking of kodachadri hills.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Better to book rooms early and always confirm faclities be sure of the roads in which you travel because of road blockages.

Kollur Experience: Very fine locaton. One should visit there once in three years

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Kudajadri is a place one should go once. The travel and walking is a rare experience

Activities & things to do: Worship at Mookambika

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: To reach Udupi by Train. Hire a taxi or go by private bus. Private bus is more comfortable compared to taxi and rates are cheap

Kollur Experience: Fine spiritual worth of visit, kodajadri and murudeswar are nearby attractions.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Kudajadri , and dont miss murudeswar 42 km from kollur

Kollur Experience: Kollur place is situated in a peaceful and good atmosphere having peace of mind. the beena residency hotel provides such valuable service to all customers and the customers feel that a home away from home.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: For sight seeing kudajadri is situated in a hilltop location.

Activities & things to do: Souparnika rive is situated in kollur and tourist can have a open air bath in a scenic surroundings.

Kollur Experience: Kollue Mookambika devi temple is the biggest attraction. It's one of the most famous temples in south india. sacred place for 'Vidyarambham' which is considered as the beginning for a child's education.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food quality is average in most of the restaurants.

Activities & things to do: Temple visit, Dip in Souparnika river.

Kollur Experience: Kollur is a temple-township situated about 38 kilometres from Kundapura Town and arround 132 kilometres away from Mangalore City in Karnataka state in the southern part of India. This village lies at the foot of the Western Ghats and is famous for the Mookambika temple.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: 1. Holy bath in Sauparnika River 2. Morning & Evening Pooja in the Mookambika temple

Activities & things to do: Visit to Kudajadri

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Kottayam By train:- 1. Come to Mangalore and take a train which stops at Byndoor road (21 Kms to Mookambika) 2. Come to Mangalore and from there take a bus to Kollur. (So many famous bus services like Rajkumar, Mookambika, SNDP, APM etc..)

Kollur Experience: Calm and quiet atmosphere driving experience is just awesome through the serene forests if u r lucky enough u could spot peacocks and deers on road.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There are no good restaurants nearby.

Activities & things to do: Kudajadiri is a place of interest.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Carry drinking water along with you especially during summer seasons as one is vulnerable to contagious diseases.

Kollur Experience: Kollur is a nice place, especially the temple. did not get a chance to go around different places in kollur, the river and temple thats all

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was not good, sight seeing and shopping experience was good.

Kollur Experience: Not a good destination so far as a tourist spot, nothing is there as sight seeing not too much shopping to be done. cleanliness we can expect

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Foods available are cheep and not at all hygienic not at all a sight fro sight seeing

Activities & things to do: only Temple visit

Kollur Experience: It is a pilgrimage centre. So cant expect it to have world class hotels and Shopping centers. Just remove those worldy thoughts and think of only the GOD almighty throughout this pilgrimage(Goddess Mookambika). The beauty and the serenity of the place will gradually lead you into another world free from Grief /angst /anger and amongst of Ego....

Kollur Experience: In mookambai temple we had a peaceful stay and had a nice darshan. We also enjoyed the sreevali of god in the evening.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: We had food most of the time in the devastanam which is excellent .

Activities & things to do: We spend a peaceful time in kollur and went to mangalore beaches also

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: We are from coimbatore so going to kollur will be easy because of the West Coast Express which arrives in the evening 8 pm and reaches mangalore 5 am next morning so you can catch a bus / car to reach kolllur and come back in the evening and catch the same train in the night by 10 pm and reach home by next morning by 6 am

Kollur Experience: Kollur mookambika temple is one of the most famous pilgrimage destination of south india. kollur also got tourist places like kudajadri. where one can experience one of the best off road experience offered in south india.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is not that good arround here. hotel run by Adigas-adigas restaurant offer somewhat decent food.

Activities & things to do: Pilgrimage

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: By train get down at byndoor mookambika road or at kundapura. then take a bus to kollur to reach mookambika.

Kollur Experience: Saraswathy temple, famous for Kunkumarchana, The Golden car pulling was one of the famous offerings

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Kudajadri was a place situated in the top of a hill. Only 4 wheel drive jeep go there

Activities & things to do: Bath in Souparnika river was a good experience for u.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Kollur Moogambika temple was situated around 100kms away from Mangalore. From mangalore we get bus directly to kollur and by train u must get down in Moogambika Road (Byndoor) from there u get taxi to kollur, Taxi charge will come around 400 Rs.
