Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Calicut a beautiful city at northern part of kerala , rich in its musical heritage, literature writers and gentle and civilized culture of the public live in there

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Famous for good dum biriyani and sea foods

Activities & things to do: Enjoy the fabulous beauty of beach and shopping centers at Mittayitheruvu

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: very good to see places like Calicut & surroundings

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: people are courteous enough to give proper guidance in shopping & sight seeing

Activities & things to do: it is already good , but improvements will attract more people

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: conveyance to & from airport , rly. station, bus station are highly comfortable, keep antivomting ( to reduce vomiting for peope with motion sickness)agents available since roads have ups and downs frequently.

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: It is a nice place in kerala. the beaches and the historical places are some places where we ought to visit.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: beaches, churches...

Activities & things to do: nothing much

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: could be a nightmare if you are taking public transport and auto rickshaws. you dont get an auto after 9pm and by any chance you get one, they fleece you like anything.

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Calicut is best destination for stay as it is near to Cochin, Munnar and other Site seeing spots. There number of beachs where you can spend your time. The best time to visit Calicut is Sep to Dec where you can enjoy second rainy season.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Compared to Mumbai food is fine, where are Chef of the hotel helps to preapre a defined dish per oyur request and there is warm feeling being in Gatway Hotel

Activities & things to do: Swimming and Gym

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: By Air till Cochin followed by 1 to 1.25 hours car drive and you can enjoy good site seeing. Kerala a place to enjoy.

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Calicut is a naturally endowed section of the Western Ghats with its valleys, waterfalls, rivulets and not to speak of the greenery.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food throughout was superb (we are vegetarians). There are very good temples, churches and mosques - secular town. IIM,Calicut is a modern campus - a must see.

Activities & things to do: Laze around and enjoy nature. Recuperate

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: You can reach by train, by road, by flight. Please carry warm clothing for winter evenings.

"Warm and quiet retreat at calicut"

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Kozhikode or calicut has its own charm and beauty. the people just like the place can be so laid back and peace loving and also very helpful if they find out that you are not from around there and need some help. highly recommend a visit with your friends or family.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Good kozhikode style food available in the innumerable local eateries. the place is known for its sugary sweets and one should not miss out on the different varieties of 'Kozhikodan Halwa'

Activities & things to do: Lots of places of interest both of historical importance near by, good place for sightseeing and modern malls and cinema theaters present.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: By flight or train or by car ;) do keep a watch out for auto drivers and cab drivers who have a tendency to overcharge.

"Mecca of Biriyani"

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Calicut being the land where vasco de gama landed occupies a very historical status amongst travelers. The City with its multi cultural, multi religious and multi culinary culture is a delight for a person with a cosmopolitan view. The city with its cleanliness and pleasant climate ensures a comfortable stay for all travelers.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Calicut probably is the only city other than Hyderabad whose various flavors of biriyani is the talk of various other cities as far as Mumbai and Delhi. How can one not talk about the flavor of Paragon biriyani which always needs to be parceled and taken in flight to other parts of India on demand. Further established biriyani flavors of Sagar, top form and Bombay biriyani hotel also clashes with the taste of paragon biriyani. This traffic jam of various flavors of biriyani has been the highlight of all my stay there.

Activities & things to do: The only negative I see is that there are not much activities to do in spite of having good beaches. I wish they could introduce sea sports and make the beach life more interesting.

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Calicut is one of the best destinations in the god's own country.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Kozhikkodan biriyani is very famous. Halva is another attraction of Calicut. Paragon has a chain of restaurants in the city. There are few malls where you can buy everything.

Activities & things to do: There are tourist attractions like Kappad Beach, where Vasco-da-Gama landed. Thusharagiri, Anakkampoyil, Calicut beach, etc are worth seeing.

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: A good city/town in Kerala and a treat for Sea-food lovers

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Near Wayanad, which is a very favourite destination for get-aways

Activities & things to do: Weekend get-away activities

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: We drove from Bangalore. we chose the route via Bandipur forest and drove down the Ghats section from Wayanad. The only drawback is the condition of roads in Kerala and availability of Veg food or to be precisely put...only vegetarian restaurants.

"Karan Singh Katoch's Stay at Park Residency, Kozhikode on 24"

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Excellent overview of Park Residency. Very receptive staff and helpful. Especially Mr. Prasant Hotel manager's pre and post follow-up.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Good, was not having enough time to spend on sightseeing, but next time I will spare time. Kerala as such is a beautiful state.

Activities & things to do: Just sight seeing.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The destination of Park Residency was easily accessible from Calicut. It will be good if while booking a person comes to know that it nearer to the FEROKE RAILWAY STATION so that one reserve Railway Ticket upto Feroke and not Kozhikode Main.

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Kozhikode is the third largest city and is part of the second largest urban agglomeration in Kerala. Kozhikode is also known as the city of Spices.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Must see places in Kozhikode (Calicut) are Kappad Beach, Beypore traditional ship making centres, Kallai, Mananchira Square, Thusharagiri etc. Main attraction of Kozhikode is its culture.

Activities & things to do: Dont miss Beypore, the traditional ship known as 'uru' making place.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Always try to make travel arrangement in advance and also to carry Cotton dresses as climate is hotter in this place.

"The city of wonder !"

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: OMG ! Finally !the place where i wanted to be !The place where vasco da gama being the first foreigner to step foot on indian soil had landed upon!I couldn't wait to see his stone statue at kappad beach.There was the monument causing me to go gaga !Be it the beach itself or the people everyone/thing happened to be joyful !This must be the finest city of Kerala !

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The food of Calicut was if at all anything only better than the locations itself!The specialities were the delicacies,provided to make your mouth feel waterlike !Ummmmmmmm !The halwa was thier most tastiest yet calorie filled food .Weight watchers just have little of it !Haaaa haaa haaaa ! But very good & exceeded expectations !

Activities & things to do: I just wanna go back thier again as soon as i can .Waiting in a desperate way !

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Always carry packs of wipes with you as the temperature at times can soar.Also,make sure that you always get to be at the nearst reach point to your tour operator as you can avoid any mishaps of being lost and the like !

Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Excellent locales, food , people, culture and very less wine shops!!!! :) You need to sip the beauty of CALICUT slowly and enjoy your stay.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Topiyakas!!!! Steet food, and Kappad Beach !!!!!! These are the options for you.

Activities & things to do: Visit the Beach and especially KAPPAD..... go to the Museum and the Dolphin Point in Calicut.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Do a nice research before arriving at CALICUT any ways there are lots of helping people who would guide you ...best part is the auto rickshaws... very cheap and they are good tooooo!!!
