Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: Nice place with Kumara dhara and ashilesha pooja visitors. Adi subrahmanya can also be visited. Puttur hanuman temple is one more attraction and single rock ganesha is also here in a separate temple

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: two good hotels near the temple for food is available

"Nice stay"

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: Only purpose people visit here is to perform Sarpasamskara and aslesha bali puja in Subrahmanya temple.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Did not try anything outside as we had everything in temple due to pooja restrictions. Good food provided in the temple anyway

Activities & things to do: Apart from pooja, i dont think anything else is there. You may probably enjoy the bath in river early in the morning with chilled water :D or visit Dharmsthala which is nearby.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: A good drive in western ghats for close to 60 Km. Avoid driving here in nights as there is lot of truck traffic from Mangalore. Day travel gives you amazing view of the forests and if lucky you may see train passing by high in the mountains.

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: Kukke Subramanya is a village of Subramanya in the Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada District near Mangalore, Karnataka, India. The temple is one of the pristine pilgrimage locations in India. Here Lord Subrahmanya is worshipped as the lord of all serpents. The epics relate that the divine serpent Vasuki and other serpents found refuge under Lord Subrahmanya when threatened by Garuda.

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: It was good, temple was maintained very clean. and nice to travell in the hill

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There are many good restaurants around the temple...

Activities & things to do: There is old library you visit and see...

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: nice place to see to worship the subramanya god.. where the god of cricket sachin worships every year...

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: The location is pleasant for visiting through out the year.it will be vacation plus pilgrimage. We can enjoy the ride through the ghat roads.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: We have visited for only one day on a temple visit there are no comments.

"Serene and a Must visit place"

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: The temple town is very calm and once can sense peace all around. Special darshan costs Rs.100/- and in the eve ning when there is no Q, one can walk into the temple and avail darshan at one's leisure. The temple and the adjoining Adi Subramanya temple are a must visit and one feel like going again and again into the temple.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: A couple of decent restaurants serving Vegetarian as Kukke is a village. But then this is a place for pilgrimage and not sighseeing :-)

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Kukke is 12 Kms from the Subramanya road station whihc is well connected to Bangalore. Buses, Autos and Taxis are available almost every minute from the station to Kukke or Dharmasthala

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: Temple is good, but need to keep in mind the humidity of the place and Hot weather

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Neo Mysore Cafe is the best option for restaurant.

Activities & things to do: N/A

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: This is purely a place for the religiously oriented people. You Can arrive in the evening get the seva tickets, checkin to a lodge. and go for darshan. Finish all the sevas in the next morning and can start back by 9:30AM. Please make sure to book the stay in advance. Particularly during weekends and holiday seasons it is very difficult to get the lodging on arrival.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There aren;t any major sight seeing places around.

Activities & things to do: Visit to the main temple and Aadi Subrahmanya temple.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The 25km road from Gundya on NH-48 to the temple is in very good condition.

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: It is cool and a divine destination. The place is yet to be developed a lot since it is famous destination for temple in Karnataka.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Temple is the most attractive. There is nothing to shop from that place.

Activities & things to do: Better to opt for pooja in the morning.

"A good experience at Kukke"

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: Subrahmanya temple is the main attraction of this place. Because of vacations we found too much rush everywhere. But this was also an unique experience for us. Thanks to Gahanashree people, the hotel was remote from the jostle. People are very nice here.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: This is a Hindu holy place. Only pooja materials are available in the charriot street. But we were not interested in this types of materials.

Activities & things to do: Only Darshan of swamy Subrahmanya and can perform pooja ceremonies like ashlesha bali etc.

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: All must visit kukke -subramnaya as destination to talk the nature and to get gods blessings.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Do not sleep while traveling as you may miss viewing mother nature and do not miss take prasadam ie food at the temple.

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: It is a holy place, to be visit once in life time, many celebrities visited and offered pooja.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: krishna palace, new mysore restaurant, are good to have food. visit Dharmashtala, lord MANJUNATHA TEMPLE, surrounded all round with western ghats.

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: kukke subramanya has the best morning hour view of the nature. It was relishing and relaxing. The ambience is all filled with devotion. wonderful place.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Kumaradhara is just awesome place for sight seeing. hotels near the temple were good. honey, cashewnuts are available at reasonable prices.

Activities & things to do: Not much activities apart from darshanam and poojas. hill view and the nature view are the best ones.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Kumaradhara is around 1 km from the main temple , you can walk and go to enjoy the nature's beauty. Adi subramanya temple has a park where you can spend sometime. you can reach kukke by bus/train from bangalore.

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: Wonderful place to visit, Temple that needs to be visited and location is amazing Best time to visit is Late September to Mid Jan.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is Ok, since you have no choice other then Veg. Decent food. Nice Trekking spot. Nothing much to Shop

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: As every one know it is on of the famous place for worship Subrahmanya. Only advice is don't visit just after Champa Shrusti because it will be over crowded! Better visit during first week of June.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: New Mysore Cafe is the best place for snacks, breakfast.

Activities & things to do: Nil

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Be careful if you go via Sakaleshapur because you have to drive down on Western ghat! Roads are quite broad but not so good condition!

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food in the hotels are good and taste nice.

Kukke-Subrahmanya Experience: I think Kukke Subrahmanya is one of the best places if someone really want to explore the western ghats in Karnataka. I really enjoyed visiting this place.
