"Bad"

  • 1.0/7
  • Posted 1 month ago
Dear People, I don't know how to react on this. I seen the mail of my review and I am confirmed that review is not given by me. I given my comments as very bad but in the mail it is quite opposite. The hotel and that staff are very bad and I faced lot of problems with them. The over all satisfaction of my toor is bad because of shanthi castle worst hotel which I seen in my life. People don't try to book shanthi castle hotel.

"Good destination during winters"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted Mar 13, 2016
There are quite a few places to see at/near Coorg:

1. Tibetan Monastary

2. Dubbare Elephant Camp

3. Tala Cauvery Temple

4. Tala Cauvery

5. Raja's Seat

6. Coffee Plantations

Then the place has some of the best places to buy spices/coffee.

Suggested place to have good food would be small restaurants in and around the city.

"Nice city to see a Tibetan culture"

  • 6.0/7

We visited monastery. The inner shrine of the Namdroling monastery will leave you speechless. The sense of scale, colour and Tibetan temple music will completely overwhelm you. Of the three statues, the statue of lord Buddha is 60 ft tall while the other two statues of Guru padmasambhava and Buddha Amitayus are each 58 feet tall. These are made of copper and plated with gold.

"Great place to spend a weekend"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted Aug 1, 2015
If you want to have a quiet weekend away from the city life, it's a good place to visit. You should not miss the Golden Temple and the river rafting, rather still water rafting. Though the water levels is not as expected for a river raft, it is enough for friends or couples to enjoy water which is not so dangerous. It would be great if you could carry some warm clothes during July.

"Not a hill station"

  • 7.0/7

Kushalnagar is located while travelling to Madikeri. This is an entrance town of Coorg. Even in Kushalnagar there are many tourist places like Golden temple, Bylakuppe, Dubare Elephant Camp, Nisargadhama Forest, Harangi Dam and Back waters. You can cover all the places with in 1 days time. This place is not a hill station.
