Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Kalingpong or Lava privet vehicles are available. Vehicle charg around Rs. 1500. From NGP, via Kalingpong and Lava bus service is also available. It is better to hire private cars.
Lolegaon Experience: A perfect place to hide in peace for a short term holiday. flee from your home, catch a train and come here in Lolaygaon if at least two days are negotiable in your tour. Only prob here is the water scarcity and of course the lack of hospital or medicine centre otherwise a splendid experience awaiting you in the lap of Nature.

Lolegaon Experience: The destination Lolegaon is a very nice place to visit. At present it is better than Darjeeling. Population is very low but well behaved. People are very friendly. n must visit this place and must enjoy the beauty of the earth. Every time the weather is changing. The jungles are very nice. The most important is you can feel the peace here no one is there to disturb there.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: You will not get choice able food because of the distance from Hotel to market. Hence you have to arrange it before hand. There is nothing for shopping but you can enjoy the beauty while traveling by car etc.
Activities & things to do: Take rest, Go for beautiful walk. Enjoy the beauty Have good food. But before coming here collect some food of your choice with you. Things are not readily available here.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: As I have traveled from Darjeeling hence I booked a Car for 3500 to reach Lolegaon. The journey is nice if you take a car because you can enjoy the beauty. But the road condition is not good.
Lolegaon Experience: Lolegaon is small village at the nature. It is far from city crowed. A mystic cloud around Lolegaon gives great feelings.
Canopy walk in the heritage forest is a great experience.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sunrise from Jhandidara was a awesome experience.
Thukpa and momo with coffee are excellent.

Lolegaon Experience: Lolegaon (localy called Kaffer) is very beautiful place. If weather is cleared, then you can see great K'gha with full range. As well you can see the Kalimpong from Lolegaon. Lolegaon is a very small village and you can walk to complete your trip in lolegaon. If you want a pind of silence rest in nature for 2 days, you can easily choice Lolegaon.
But there is a very bad news for tourist, that Lolegaon has loosing its attraction like Canopee. Canopee is now broken and you only go to see that Canopee, but not walk on it. Also the best place for staying in Lolegaon is now closed for some political issues.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: You can't get too much choice for food. There are few restaurant and hotels near bus stand ( Kaffer stand). Food choice are very limited.
For sight seeing, you can go Canopee forest (just under 1 km from bus stand) and Jhandi dhara view point ( 3.5 km from bus stand). You can get a great view of K'gha from bus stand. Choose a hotel with K'gha facing balcony or window. That will be greater for your trip. Go for a walk in the park which is just opposite of bus stand.
For shopping lover, Lolegaon is not the good place for you.
Activities & things to do: In Lolegaon you can walk to complete your trip to Canopee forest, Jhandi dhara view point, bus stand, park etc. But you have to back to hotel before day light off. You also take your dinner within 7 to 8pm and go to bed early. Wake up as earliest as possible and try to see the K'gha in sun rise. 1 or 2 days is enough in Lolegaon.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Lolegaon is 52 km from Kalimpong, 28 km from Lava. You can take rental car from Kalimpong or Lava to reach Lolegaon. Also you come from NJP via Lava. 1 bus is regularly going to Lolegaon via Lava from Kalimpong.
Travelers should know:
(a) from Lolegaon you can't book any car without syndicate.
(b) Syndicate is fixed the car fare and they do not allow to bargain on that. Lolegaon to Lava = Rs.850, Lolegaon to Kalimpong = Rs.1800, Lolegaon to NJP via Kalimpong = Rs.2800, Lolegaon to NJP via Lava = Rs.3100.
(c) you can't get a good hotel. You should manage with a simple accommodation.
(d) you can't find any medicine shop there, so bring the necessary medicine with you.
(e) in the forest be careful about leeches
(f) do not talk roughly with any local people
(g) do not discuss on any political issues with anybody
