Lonavala Experience: A purely naturesque place to be at all times of the year. One can wander anywhere around at ease again and again. Also a nearby religious destination of Ekveera temples is enjoyable.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: All in one to say - Enjoyable again and again with ease and comfort.

"best to get away from city life"

Lonavala Experience: Only 3 hrs away from Mumbai. Best destination to get away from the city life. Good hotels , great natural beauty , perfect even for a one day picnic.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The bhajiya wala atop da tiger hill is a must have.

Activities & things to do: Laze around. Visit bhushi dam, tiger spot, etc A new adventure theme park called Fella adventure has opened up , its good but very pricey.

"A holiday at Lonavala."

Lonavala Experience: Lonavala is a place close to Mumbai where Mumbaikars can go for an overnight picnic. Just about 120 kms from Andheri makes this spot a one day picnic spot also. During rainy season if U are thinking of going outside Mumbai to relax then first destination U think about is Lonavala.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Lonavala is famous for its chikki which U can get it in all the shops near this hotel. For food, Avion holiday resort itself is self sufficient. But for those Mumbaikars who cannot live without McDonald can have it at just a km away from railway station. Sight seeing points like Bushi dam, Rajmachi garden, Lions point are all famous. Newer spots like wax museum have developed which should be included in the list.

Activities & things to do: This place is more for fun and liesure activities.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: U can reach by train going to Pune from Dadar, Mumbai. Also U can travel by car from Mumbai or Pune which are just 120 and 100 kms away respectively.

Lonavala Experience: Lonavala is the nice place. Go to watch sight seen. Especially in rainy season enjoy bushy dam

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Speciality is Lonavala chikki - ground nut chikki is best

Activities & things to do: watch sight seen. & enjoy bushy dam water in rainy season

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: We gone thru ST bus from Borivali to Lonavala. but train facility is also there. you have to check train timings & online bookings

Lonavala Experience: The destination has always been a place to relax and has always created positive vibes into me.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Bhushi dam and the mountains along with the climate. It so very much gel around together getting you into a very different zone.

Activities & things to do: Explore the total area its lot of fun!!!

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The best way to go here is your personal transport whereas there are options available for public transports as well.

Lonavala Experience: since it was a muslim hotel food was fabulous n rates were also okok room used to be neat n clean ac fan was working nicely happy to be there miss that place very much

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: rama krishna was a good hotel to eat n maganlal chikki very expensive bt worth sunset point tiger point wax museam etc bt best time to go lonawala is monsoon

Activities & things to do: drink and rome around and if there is a couple than best place to do romance

Lonavala Experience: Karla caves is a treat to watch.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sight seeing can be done in 3 to 4 hours. Keep sunset point at the end to watch. Wax museum is great. Smokin Joes Pizza, McDonalds and KFC Chicken.

Activities & things to do: Dont Eat non veg at any of the resteraunts.Not so good.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Navi Mumbai you can reach Lonavala just for Rs 65 per head by ST.

Lonavala Experience: A paradise close to mumbai!!! Always love visiting lonavala

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Should visit lions point, tungar ali lame and pawna lake!

Activities & things to do: Pawna lake is my favourite as you can do jet ski, boat ride and feed the lovely geese!!!

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Car is best! You can take your car around to visit places! Make sure you have google maps on your blackberry! It works wonders!!

Lonavala Experience: The destination had scenic beauty . It was calm and quite . There was nature ,greenary and waterfall all around .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food and sightseeing were good .

Activities & things to do: horse riding and boating .

Lonavala Experience: The destination is awesome especially the tiger hill spot and the amby valley is amazing. the Water fall of Bhushi Dam excited us for a return visits.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sight Seeing is good.

Activities & things to do: Amby Valley, Bhushi Dam, Overnight at tiger hills.

Lonavala Experience: Destination is must visit for once. but not good as mahabaleshwar or other as doesnt seems to be hill station.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: attraction in destination is sunset point and adventure trip i forget the name but i enjoyed a lot

Activities & things to do: adventure sports in lonavla and sunset point and caves.

Lonavala Experience: Lonavla is the best weekend gateway for a mumbaikar with its proximity ( 2hrs drive from mumbai), well connected road (mumbai -pune expressway), located on western ghats thereby enjoying a nice and pleasant climate almost throughtout the year. Its a small city, but nice place to go, sitback and relax.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Several options of food available as the place has big number of hotels. Lonavla is also famous for its Chikki and fudge. Cooper fugde (in market place) is the best and it gets over before you know. So if you want it make sure you go before lunch time. Several sight seeing options becoz of the hilly terrain and local shops have some really interesting stuff. Don't miss the shop Bhagowati in the main market, next to. Baskin Robins. They have some really nice imported stuff at reasonable price.

Activities & things to do: Adventure sports are a good available at Della Adventure. Its got Bussi Dam which in the rainy season offers a good terkking option.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From mumbai, there are road as well as train services. There is the mumbai - pune expressway which will take you to lonavla in an hour once you are on the expressway or if you want to enjoy nature take the old mumbai - pune highway. There are bus services as well which are cheap and reasonable.

Lonavala Experience: the destination was good, and i have enjoyed the place along with my family and we all have a good fun as i was stayed there for 2 nights only. I would like to explore the place in near future

Lonavala Experience: As you drive 3 hours from Mumbai, you can come across a cool and a hilly region called Lonavala. This place is known as a holiday spot with greenery and pleasant weather.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: This place is known for sweets like chikki and fudges and not forgetting the variety of hotels that give you variety of food.

Activities & things to do: There is entertainment like games and children play area. There is disco for adults at night.

Lonavala Experience: Lonavala as a destination is good for short break considering it's easy accessibility from mumbai. It can be best enjoyed in monsoon when u can actually pass through clouds, enjoy greenery around, waterfalls & soak into cool weather.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The shopping mainly includes famous Lonavala chikki in diff varieties.For non veg lovers there are many small outlets owned by locals who offer tasty & delicious food.

Activities & things to do: One can enjoy the scenic beauty of lonavala by visiting various points-rajmachi etc. Karla caves is nearby.

Lonavala Experience: Nice in rainy seasons n winters only. Hill station best for weekend relaxation trips.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Citrus lonavala food is very good, Wax museum is a must waterfalls in rainy seasons

Lonavala Experience: Nice place.Mix of hill station and some markets.Overall there are good sights.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was quite ok and hygienic. For sightseeing , we hired private vehicle.'chikki' is special item to purchase from lonavala.

Activities & things to do: There are waterfalls to enjoy.There are caves showing ancient ways of living.
