Manesar Info

  • State: Haryana
  • Famous for/as: Jungle
  • District: Gurgaon
Manesar is a fast developing industrial town situated in Gurgaon district of Haryana. Located near the city of Gurgaon, Manesar enjoys heavy influx of tourists all round the year. Manesar is located on NH 8 and it is well connected to major cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, etc. English, Hindi and Haryanvi are the most common languages used at Manesar.

Manesar lies on the outskirts of the city of Gurgaon, which has earned it the name ‘New Gurgaon’. Being a part of the National Capital Region (NCR), Manesar has a well-developed infrastructure that meets the modern requirements.

Manesar was a sleeping village in its earlier days with more or less thousand dwellings. But in the nineties, the development activities to transform Manesar to a National Capital Region gained immense speed. Manesar has now become a fast growing industrial town that invites multidimensional economic investments in the area.

Today, Manesar has many reputed factories, offices, hotels and educational institutes. The headquarters of some prestigious national institutions like National Bomb Data Centre and National Brain Research Centre are located at Manesar. The training centre as well as the Head Office of the National Security Guards is also based at Manesar.

Situated on the lower Aravalli Ranges, Manesar lies on a hilltop. Besides the idyllic beauty of the Aravalli Ranges, Manesar has many places of tourist interest. Some among these tourist attractions overlap with Gurgaon. Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, Damdama Lake and Mata Sheetala Devi Temple are the well known tourist spots at Manesar. From Manesar, excursions can be taken to the outskirts of Gurgaon to visit Sohna and also to the town of Nuh, where the tomb of Sheikh Musa is located.

Manesar’s proximity to Gurgaon and New Delhi attracts hordes of tourists. The best time to visit Manesar is during the winter season when the weather is cool and pleasant.

Manesar is one of the weekend getaway options for travelers living in Gurgaon and Delhi.

Its a good place to relax and mind refreshing. Absolute silence with a market to get anything and everything ranging from daily need to special requirements. Also has mcdonalds and kfc for party lovers. Manesar also is quiet cost saving in comparison to its nearby areas.

"A good weekend getaway"

  • 5.5/7

Manesar is always a good weekend getaway from Delhi. There are practically two choices for Delhiites on weekend, the noida side where one can stay in JP resort or towards Gurgaon where Manesar is a good option. For a longer distance, Agra and Jaipur are options.

With a large Japanese investment in Manesar, the city has really come off age. You get a sort of metro feel there with almost all facilities available, however with some of it own charm. A must visit place.

"Its a beautiful place to visit"

Must visit to Neemrana Fort. I am definitely going back here and to stay. Please pack your walking shoes, its uphill, so not very comfortable for people with walking problems or older people. Also, not too crowded. enough pools to distribute the crowd staying there so a pleasing experience. Food was really good, loads of options for dinner so chose what you like. For daytime there are two options (Thali or lunch buffet) both are good.

"One of the best places to chill out in the evening, with parathas"

One of the best places to chill out in the evening, with parathas. I liked the place because it's the only peaceful place in Delhi NCR. I had a lot of fun, I would suggest whenever you want to spend some time at a peaceful place near NCR, must go to this place. Trust me, you will never be disappointed.

"Lovely small industrial town"

  • 5.5/7
  • Posted Apr 17, 2014
Mansar is small industrial town close to Gurgaon. The city got its fame due to the infamous Maruti incident which happened here few years back. Some of the giants of Indian auto industry can be spotted here therefore a recommended place if you want to take up industry tour of Indian auto industry. Here you will also find India's only and most advanced brain institute. It is just a small town but due to its industrial significance you even get everything from a five star resort to and lavish guest house at this place. But if you aren't the five star types then you might get satisfied by the local dhaba itself. There is also the first and the largest centre of Haldiram. It is the best stop for tourists who are passing Manesar on their route to Jaipur or Agra.
