 Matheran visit in November
We are in the UK near London. Planning a trip possibly to Matheran in November. We understand no cars in Matheran. My wife cannot walk very far, so how does Matheran provide for People with mobility problems? Is it Horses only from town to Dasturi Gate or is it a horses pulling a carriage that People sit in? Will the train be running in November? We think it is too far to hotels in Matheran from car/bus stop? I understand it does not run in the Monsoons, but they are running trials this wek to see if OK for next year. Thank you Brian

Dear Friends I am planning a tour to Matheran in the month of August. Need some guidance/Info from you all. Pls help.I visited Matheran in Summer and stayed in Hotel Rangoli. 1) Weather it is advisable to visit in August with family. 2) I heard Toy Train is runs only once a day, no online reservations available. What is the Time and whr I can get ticket? 3) Good hotel very near to Railway Station, Market? Any off-season discounts at Hotels? 4) Good Spots nearby?

Hi, When is the best time of the year to visit Matheran? Also do we get busses to travel from Mumbai to Matheran? If there isn’t any frequent busses please let me know of the timings and the hour of journey from these places.And if we rent a cab how much does is cost on a approx? Also is Matheran a day visit or do we need to stay over there? Will we find any good hotels there? How much do they cost for a over night stay? Looking forward for replies. Regards, Anitha
