A tourist spot of Heritage, Hill and wild

I visited Jhargram this October with my family. I stayed there for 3 days. During my short stays i stayed at Jasodha Bhaban Guest House near new Bus stand, Jhargram. It is good place to stay. 3 days tour is required to visit all places at Jhargram. 1st day I visited Kandaharini lake, Guarsini Hill and Gagra water falls. All are near belpahari about 50 k. M. Away from Jhargram town. Next day I visited Jhargram Raj Bari, Chilkagarh Rajbari, Kanak Durga Temple and Jhargram mini zoo within the Jhargram city. Last day I visited Hatibari and Rameshwar temple about 70 k. M. Away from Jhargram town. Overall my experience is good. Jhargram has suffered lot due to Maobadi movement. But presently it is safe place for tourist. Guide are necessary for tourist. Travel during daylight for sight seen. Take help from Jhargram Tourist and travel website for hotel booking and travel plan. Call Sumit Dutta at Rabindra Park is the best place to eat at Jhargram. Visit during winter. This place is too hot even during October.

The landscape view is so nice in Medinipur

I went to view the jungle after reaching there. Nearby Medinipore at Chandrakona Station the place is covered with green tree. A lot of Sal tree is available in front of Gopal hotel. If you go there must visit the nearby jungle at once. Its rocking dude. The sunshine is amazing at dusk.

Medinipur Overview

The beautiful district of Medinipur or West Medinipur was formed in 2002. It shares its borders with Balasore and Mayurbhanj in Orissa, districts of Purulia, Bankura, Hoogly and East Medinipur of West Bengal while the district of Singhbhum of Jharkhand falls in the western side. Midnapore is the district headquarters and an upcoming township. It was in 1783 AD under the British that the town of Medinapore was made the district headquarters of the Medinipur district.Known as the land of freedom fighters and pristine natural beauty, West Medinipur is a tribal rustic region with vibrant cultural and glorious heritage that traces its roots to the 13th century, when it was ruled by the tribal chieftain Medinikar, to whom the district has been named. He is also known to be the founded of the Medinikoch lexicon. The population largely consists of the culturally rich tribes of Santhals, Lodhas and Sabars.Today, West Medinipur has developed as a district of not only religious or historical importance but has been able to capture the tourism market in the state. With enhancement of tourist interests such as adventure sports activities, camping and Nature trips by the government there has been an increase in eco-tourism in the district. Good accommodation, security and the well known Bengali hospitality can be enjoyed to the fullest in the lap of Nature at Medinipur.
