Narayangaon, a town known for its vineyards, is located in the Pune district of Maharashtra. Narayangaon is surrounded by four major dams, the Western Ghats, and the Sahyadri mountain range.
The closest dam to Narayangaon is Yedgaon Dam on Kukadi River, which is just 10 km away. On the other hand, Vadaj Dam on Mina River is approximately 16 km away from Narayangaon. Pimpalgaon Joga Dam and Manikdoh Dam are located 30 km and 25 km away from Narayangaon, respectively.

Narayangaon has a few very popular attractions, like the Ram Mandir, Muktabai Temple, Junnar, Shivneri Fort and Ozar, which tourists come to visit, from all over India.
Kapleshwar Temple is one of the most popular. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is located 15 km from Narayangaon in Ottur. Khandoba Temple lies at a distance of around 12 km from Narayangaon.
Junnar City is known as the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji. This fertile land features vast diversities of flora and fauna. Shivneri Fort is a historic monument and the place where Shivaji spent his childhood. Being associated with Shivaji’s history, it is a very popular attraction.
Ozar is popular among visitors for its Vigneshwara Temple or Shri Vighnahar, which is among the Ashtavinayak Ganapatis, located 17 km north-west of Narayangaon. Another Ashtavinayak Ganapati located here, is Shri Girijatmak of Lenyadri, 10 km north of Narayangaon. Both these temples are dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Bhimashankar Temple is also a popular place in Junnar and is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The Narayangad Fort, another popular fort in the region, is located around 10 km away from Narayangaon. There is also a hill called Ganpirya Dongar, just 3 km away from it. The Muktabai Temple is home to the gram-daivat of Narayangaon.
