This place is quite calm and peaceful. If you are going with your friends or loved ones, then this place is just awesome to stay for couple of days. Surrounded natural beauty will make your day. Although This place does not have much things to visit just a lake, but you can do trekking on your own up to the hills. Be your own guide! This is not a customise place so those you who like exploring must visit it.

Excellent trip and wonderful destination. Will highly recommend travellers to stay at the KMVN TRH right next to the lake. A clean not yet so commercialized destination. There is even some paragliding that can be done here. This place can be the perfect base to explore all the lakes in the region such as Bhimtal, Sattal, Khurpa Tal and of course the most famous Nainital.

It's a beautiful place near for Nanital but less crowded. The lake has nine corners. Along with the boating one can enjoy lot of water activities. Horse riding and paragliding is also available. It's nice place to spend some time with family and friends away from crowd.

"A beautiful Lake named Naukuchiatal"

  • 7.0/7

Naukuchiatal - as the name signifies - is a beautiful lake having Nine corners. We preferred visiting Naukuchiatal due to its proximity to Nainital, and chose it alongwith Nainital due to the influx of tourists in Nainital in Summers.

With lush green mountains, blue waters and a peaceful place; Naukuchiatal is an ideal holiday destination for travellers to go and explore its natural beauty. Alongwith other activities, we just sat and watched variety of birds for hours, amazing.

Naukuchiatal experiences cool weather all round the year. Although, one can visit this place at any time of the year; but, the best time to visit Naukuchiatal is from March to June. We visited this beautiful place 2 times; in April and July. We also took a trip to Bhimtal; the largest lake in Kumaon, and Saat Taal near Naukuchiatal - just for adventure. My suggestion - If you want to run away from the concrete jungles of the city; just go to Naukuchiatal. You won't regret. For me, Naukuchiatal Is A Place to Relax.

A perfect tourist destination for all the Hill Station Lovers. Great place for adventures and relaxing as well. Best part is, this small hill station is not so crowded as compared to its neighbours (Nainital and Bhimtal) which makes it a perfect one. I stayed at Club Mahindra Resort, superb property situated right next to the Lake Naukuchiatal. Lush Green valleys, hilly roads, temples, lake, etc. You name it and you will have that here. A perfect hill station destination. Went there to celebrate New Year, freezing yet awesome. Sure visit. Highly recommended.

Natural exotic excellent elite and fresh location.Mind boggling! lake view resort the best thing is cup of tea on lake side with sound of birds early in the morning.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is Good. Must lunch at purohit hotel at Nainital just near sbi branch in front of lake, remote bike ride for kids at lake side. Market don't spent much except local made things. Umang NGO made things are good to buy.Cave watching early morning is best. Must bargain in cabs. Five points approx is 800 to 1000 for traverra cab.

Activities & things to do: Paragliding at lake resort-1300 to 1500 is price. must bargain. Manoj is person with whom you can contact. Excellent breath taking experience. Early morning is good arround 8 am. Only 5 km from club Mahindra or lake resort .Don't make arrangements by hotel go directly so you will preserve hotel commission. Lake paddle boating is another activity.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Avoid bight travel , small cars are good to travel. If big group rather than picking bus go for travera two or three as per persons. Must have anti emetic medicine like avomine or pantaprazole and pain killers on traveling.Car horn breaks and battery must be checked.Blow horn at acute turning is must.Slow driving not problems but safe driving is must.Must have tea water and light refreshment with you. May is best to travel. Don't pick hotel in City area or crowded area. Have dust bin along with you to avoid throwing dust here and there.

Naukuchiatal is at a distance of 250 kms (approx.) from Delhi, a perfect weekend getaway destination, takes about 7 hours via road. The lake resort is located right at the end of the road, best location if one wants to keep away from the hustle bustle. The property has spacious, airy rooms most or pretty much all of them facing the lawn and the lake. The resort arranges for boating and other sight seeing activities on request. Overall a recommended stay at the the lake resort if one's visiting naukuchiatal.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The nine cornered lake, naukuchiatal. one can go for boating, visit nearby temples, nothing much for shopaholics though. The place is ideal for a quite getaway and absolute relaxation.

Activities & things to do: Sight seeing, visit nearby places, ranikhet, mukteshwar, boating etc

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Route map: delhi-hapur-rampur-rudrapur-haldwani-kathgodam-bhimtal-naukuchiatal.
One can also take a train till kathgodam and hire taxi till naukuchiatal.
