Naukuchiatal Experience: Natural exotic excellent elite and fresh location.Mind boggling! lake view resort the best thing is cup of tea on lake side with sound of birds early in the morning.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is Good. Must lunch at purohit hotel at Nainital just near sbi branch in front of lake, remote bike ride for kids at lake side. Market don't spent much except local made things. Umang NGO made things are good to buy.Cave watching early morning is best. Must bargain in cabs. Five points approx is 800 to 1000 for traverra cab.

Activities & things to do: Paragliding at lake resort-1300 to 1500 is price. must bargain. Manoj is person with whom you can contact. Excellent breath taking experience. Early morning is good arround 8 am. Only 5 km from club Mahindra or lake resort .Don't make arrangements by hotel go directly so you will preserve hotel commission. Lake paddle boating is another activity.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Avoid bight travel , small cars are good to travel. If big group rather than picking bus go for travera two or three as per persons. Must have anti emetic medicine like avomine or pantaprazole and pain killers on traveling.Car horn breaks and battery must be checked.Blow horn at acute turning is must.Slow driving not problems but safe driving is must.Must have tea water and light refreshment with you. May is best to travel. Don't pick hotel in City area or crowded area. Have dust bin along with you to avoid throwing dust here and there.

Naukuchiatal Experience: Naukuchiatal is at a distance of 250 kms (approx.) from Delhi, a perfect weekend getaway destination, takes about 7 hours via road. The lake resort is located right at the end of the road, best location if one wants to keep away from the hustle bustle. The property has spacious, airy rooms most or pretty much all of them facing the lawn and the lake. The resort arranges for boating and other sight seeing activities on request. Overall a recommended stay at the the lake resort if one's visiting naukuchiatal.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The nine cornered lake, naukuchiatal. one can go for boating, visit nearby temples, nothing much for shopaholics though. The place is ideal for a quite getaway and absolute relaxation.

Naukuchiatal Experience: Fantastic place, you can spend a whole week here and I liked this place because I could visit so many lovely places as a day trip from here like Nainital and Bhimtal

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Nainital is so near from here and one should go there and have lunch in the lakeside restaurants and the roasted sweet corn by the lakeside

Naukuchiatal Experience: Naukuchiatal is a calm and peaceful with great views and fun activities. The lake is very clean and great for kayaking.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Best place to eat is the in house restaurant at the lake village.

Activities & things to do: Good adventure sports options like paragliding and paintball available.

Naukuchiatal Experience: Naukuchiatal is a perfect destination to spend a week / 10 days of quality and peaceful time with your friends and family. Amazing oak forest with soft sloping hills make a great visual and the landscape is complete with a magical lake sitting in the center of this awesome valley The experience is complete with all the soft adventure activities including paintball, zorbing and paragliding. Far better destination then the commercial Nainital, Bhimtal, Mukteshwar, Masoorie, Shimla and Manali.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Spice bowl a multi cusine restaurant at The Lake Village is a great place to eat.

Naukuchiatal Experience: It is a peaceful place and so free of crowds quite unlike tourist destinations. All that is there is the serenity of the lake and the surrounding hills which you can climb.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was good at the Uttaranchal Govt guest house where we stayed. THe bookings could be done from Delhi itself and so there were no hassles. It can also be done online.

Activities & things to do: Nothing much. Just gaze at the sky and the lake, the flowers around and the hills. And listen to bird songs in the morning. And marvel at the trees laden with fruits all over the place.

We went by train starting from old Delhi in the afternoon, and were in Kathgodam by night, where a Government guest house had been booked in advance. In the morning the taxi took us to naukuchiatal. we made the trip in the peak of summer around early June 2012 just a couple of days before schools opened. And it was a great relief from the heat of Delhi. It was pleasant in the hills. It is just a couple of hours to Nainital where we spent a day. But it was horrible driving through the crowded roads. There was some relief only when we left the roads and went up the hills on horses. It was tiring but being surrounded by greenery and climbing the hills were exhilarating.

Naukuchiatal Experience: Naukuchiatal is a perfect destination for a getaway holiday. It's gives you a good blend of hills and water sports and is easily accessible from Delhi. The tranquility and beauty of the place rejuvenates a person after the busy life in the metro city of Delhi. Its always been a favorite holiday destination for me and my family where we spend some quality time together and indulge ourselves in different activities.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food in Naukuchiatal is simply awesome. Good Places to try out are: Lake resort and Club Mahindra. Manu Maharani in Nanital has good bar for a nice and relaxed evening! From Naukuchiatal a trip to Nainital is beautiful and picturesque! If we have some more time in hand then one should explore Almora, Ranikhet and Mukteshwar! One must buy candles from Nainital and Auroville Insense sticks & cones from Bhimtal!!!

Activities & things to do: Boating and trekking are the main activities we like to participate whenever we are in Naukuchiatal :)

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The approach road to naukuchiatal has improved a lot vis-a-vis what it was couple of years back. Pant nagar bypass from Rudrapurcity to Haldwani saves good 45 mins :)

Naukuchiatal Experience: A serene , reasonably unspoiled and scenic spot with a beautiful lake tucked away in the Kumaon hills within striking distance of the more commercialised Bhimtal and Nainital. Lazy lake boat rides, low level hill treks and even swimming in the lake add to the charm of this getaway place in the hills.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: For food there is a good restaurant in the Kumaon Vikas Mandal TRC, kayak boats are available for independent boating for the adventurous ones, a good and reasonably priced place to stay is the KVM TRC.

Naukuchiatal Experience: Really a wonderful play to visit for peaceful holidays. Place is really good and location is wonderful.

Naukuchiatal Experience: Naukuchiatal is a small little valley nestled in one corner of the Nainital region. This is the right place to go if you want to completely relax and rejuvenate. If you are looking at hustle bustle then nainital is the place for you.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Naukuchiatal Lake, Spice bowl - the in house restaurant / cafe at the Lake Village.

Activities & things to do: Para gliding, Paint ball, aqua slider, forest trek and mountain biking.

Naukuchiatal Experience: Naukuchiatal is about 45 mins from Nanital and 15 mins from Bhimtal and an hr drive from Kathgodam. The Naukuchiatal Lake and its surroundings unlike other popular tourist destinations in Kumaon, is totally untouched and pristine. People are friendly and simple, place gives you a feeling of laidback rural touch. There are no big markets or shopping options. In monsoon (off season), every thing turns into verdant green. Surrounded by Hills from all side the huge lake just looks amazing in mornings and evenings. Plenty of Hotel accommodation options ranging from Mahindra Holdays, Two Govt (KMVN) owned guest houses and Lake Resort. We liked the Lake resort the most, because of Excellent service, perfect location, nicely managed property and Value for Money.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food options are limited at the Hotel or Resort your staying at. Home like Food is available at most of the places. Not many shopping options. One can go to Bhimtal, Saattal, Nanital, Ramgarh etc. All places are less than an hr travel distance.

Activities & things to do: The best activities to do are Long walks around the lake Nature walks up the hills Just laze on the few beach openings on the lake. Other activities one can do are bird watching, fishing, horse riding, and paragliding.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: It is a perfect weekend gateway from the hustle bustle of Delhi City life looking for relaxing holiday. Take Overnight train Ranikhet express from Old Delhi Station (10:40 Pm) and reach early morning at Kathgodam. Bhimtal and Naukuchiatal are an hour distance from station. Taxis are easily available. Since these destinations are not as popular as Nainital, one can avoid the crowd. The return train also starts at 8:40 PM from Kathgodam reaches delhi early morning. Traing Booking needs to be done atleast 30 - 45 days in advance.

Naukuchiatal Experience: One of the best places for nature loving people who like quiet, out of touch, non-commercialised places.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Not much options for shopping here. One can go to Bhimtal, 15 mins drive and Nanital, 1hr 15 mins drive.

Activities & things to do: Boating, trekking, horse riding, fishing.

Naukuchiatal Experience: Guys, the place is superb!

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: lot of sight-seeeing but no shopping...Please don't go to Naukuchiatal if you are looking at a commercial destination.

Naukuchiatal Experience: As we chose this destination due to some good feedback and some positive remarks we read in tourist books. We were not let down by our sources. The destination is quite, soothing, natural no honking, less people silent resort way away from city. I STRICTLY SUGGEST no to NAINITAL. As we visited Nainital as our last destination of our 15 day tour, we cursed ourselves why we travel to NAINITAL instead we could have prolonged our stay at NAUKUCHIYATAL. As per my opinion I strictly oppose Nainital as tourist destination. It’s havoc, mayhem at the streets of Nainital. It’s reminds u the streets of Mumbai with traffic & noise and plenty of pollution Have an extended stay of your travel at NAUKUCHIYATAL you will enjoy it.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: FOOD: As our trip of Uttaranchal lasted for 15 day’s, very often we get good food. This is the place at KMVN guest house we got one of the best food of our trip. SIGHTSEEING: Near by a Temple of lord Shiva which was at the height of approx 8000 ft, gives stunning view of the valley. Behind the temple a walk of 15-20 min will lead you to an amazing extended mountain area which is like balcony of a house were nothing below u. As you can climb on these rocks but with adult help & precaution, as you were sit on the rock formation you will see full valley under you.

Activities & things to do: ROOMS : KMVN Super Deluxe Rooms Are Spacious, each provides gallery which have a opening facing the lake. Toilets are ok 2 star category.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Booking : Can be done at any KMVN office ( We had a very bad experience at MUMBAI KMVN office as they book a car for our 15 day tour the driver was a nightmare so keep your vehicle booking option open for others, as these people don’t have a control over it) but other bookings you can count on them, they are supportive.

Naukuchiatal Experience: Very Quite, unexplored, Nature Rich, Best place to spend your weekend. Only for people who want peace of mind and freedon from daily hustle and bussle.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is not much to do, this is what is beauty of this place.

Activities & things to do: no Activities around except Horse Riding and walks, Thats Y this is best place to relax.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: nearest rail head is kathgodam, you can reach there by Ranikhet Express from Delhi. Cab can be hired from Station to reach Naukuchiatal (1.5 hours drive).
