Place is very crowded. That beauty what Ooty has now, it's gone.. Looks like a city with few Tea garden and chocolate shops. Few of the places are good. Lakes are really bad. It's good for one time visit.

Ooty is a great place to visit between August to September as it's the rainy season there! And I go just about every alternate year to watch! I love the greenary out there! And the climate is just delightful. And a must see place is botanical garden in Ooty! It's filled with rich variety of plants! It's not a very expensive place to visit! Hotels have to be booked in prior! As the season time gets a bit crowded! And its a perfectly safe place to go with friends and family!

I don't like Ooty as there is nothing to view the places. Only we can find the Hills and Buildings and its very expensive to buy any items. Only thing I like in Ooty is very cool place. If we want to do time pass then Ooty is best place to visit.
One day is enough to see the places in Ooty. We will feel bore to see the places in Ooty as there are only hills and buildings. Every place we need to buy a entry ticket and separate amount for Camera.

Fantasyic place for a 2-day trip from Bangalore. Originally occupied by the Toda, the area came under the rule of the East India Company at the end of the 18th century. The economy is based on tourism and agriculture, along with manufacture of medicines and photographic film. The town is connected by the Nilgiri ghat roads and Nilgiri Mountain Railway. Its natural beauty attracts tourists and it is a popular summer destination. [4] As of 2011, the town had a population of 88, 43

"Ooty - The best place for honeymoon" new review

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted 4 weeks ago
I went to Ooty with wife for honeymoon. This place is really awesome, full of mountains, Nilgiri trees, cold environment.

This place automatically brings couples very close together. Ooty brings closer to nature.

Also Connor city is also nice.

But the food was not much good and rate was quite high.

"Good destination for a Short holiday"

Exciting and family destination .. Fully commercialized .. Nature has gone for a toss .. Nothing spectacular about nature, but good old spots .. Botanical gardens, lake, some mountain peaks .. But as you come out of the gate you return to sanity ... You will not find one authentic Tamil restaurant .. Not good for foodies who want to try new things .. You Will get Roti's Dal, butterchicken, etc .. Overall average place ...
