Palakkad Experience: A small town with orthodox views. Hope it catches up with its neighbour Coimbatore for it to develop.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Chamandhi chutney they give with idli is superb for spice lovers. The malampuzha dam is excellent, but more greenery is required.

Activities & things to do: A lot of shopping spots and affordable too. Autorikshaw is still cheap as people do not fleece. Excellent nendra chips and jackfruit snack called as chakkai.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Palghat is one hour away from coimbatore by road. By train you can get down at Olavakot railway station.

Palakkad Experience: Officially good destination for a business visit as well as for nature lovers.

Palakkad Experience: Its a nice place with a scenic beauty surrounding the Valayar Forest. The place is close to tamilnadu. Being the native of this place we dont often get time to visit this places. The place is rich in culture with a lot of temples and history associated with the temples. The famous being the Kalpathy Ther and nurani sasthapreethi.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is one good thing which every one would love to. To have a food at homely experience Harihara putra vilas or TNVR are budget friendly vegetarian restaurant. You do have Indraprastha which is also of medium range with good taste of local food.

Activities & things to do: You could have visits to various temples around palakkad. Have time to venture through Valayar forest ranges and also Malampuzha Dam and Fort at Palakkad. The hotel Kanoos also located near the Fort Grounds.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: To Reach there From chennai it is connected by Road as well as Train. The Nearest Station being Palakkad Junction. The Airport which is closer and could be reached is Coimbatore. It takes an Hour and half drive to reach the Airport from the town.

Palakkad Experience: Palakkad is a traditional and well cultured place in Kerala. The people here are highly educated and well mannered and are religious believers. Many good people from here are employed in far away places in India and also all over the world in better positions. They used to visit Palakkad during vacation almost every year to visit their families and Village Temple Festivals etc. Those who are not having adequate place to stay in their adjoining villages etc., they used to stay in good hotels like Kapilavasthu.

Palakkad Experience: Palakkad is a nice old city. The place is clean and locals are pleasant to deal with.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: We went to Palakkad to attend a wedding. And since we were to return to Bangalore the very next day, after the wedding lunch, we did not sight-see any place. But Mallapuram dam is a tourist attraction.

Activities & things to do: Just roaming the streets of Palakkad is an experience.

Right now, at a few places, the local government is in the process of widening the highway. If one bears with it, then the journey is pleasant. The view en-route is green and beautiful. Overall, Palakkad is a very fine tourist destination.

Palakkad Experience: We have traveled by car from Bangalore to Palakkad via Coimbatore. We have seen the greenery of Kerala after entering KErala border- Walayar. It was really a loving memorable trip to Palakkad. We were in Palakkad for 2 days. We couldn’t enjoy thE full beauty of Palakkad due to our lack of time. It will take minimum 3 days to visit all places of Palakkad as per the tourism board. Palakkad is blessed with gardens, lakes, hill stations, national parks, temples, historic spots and forests. We have started our trip by visiting Sree Krishna temple in the early morning, owned by Chinmaya Mission Trust (Chinmaya Thapovan), where, we could enjoy a lot with meditation for hardly 1 hour. the meditation centre is located in front of the temple, which is the most attractive point for all. There is also a beautiful Ganesha temple near to the Sree Krishna temple .Then we have visited most famous Malampuzha gardens and enjoyed there for a full day tour, where we have seen many tourists from many part of India. We got a chance to interact with the school students from Uttar Pradesh, visited there for a picnic after their trip from Kodaikanal. First, we visited rock garden, which is one of the best attractions for any one. The rock garden is built with glass tiles, fuses etc. Tourists should not miss the chance to visit there. It’s really awesome. Then we had an adventurous trip for hardly half an hour by rope way over the beautiful garden. We could see the beauty of the garden though the ropeway. It was really amazing! Then we visited aquarium and a snake park. Then we entered in to the loving garden. This garden is maintained by tourism department. There are lots of fountains and crottons arranged there. The other wonderful attraction is hanging bridge over the lake, which is really wonderful. Japanese gardens, music fountains, statues, flowers, lake with boating facilities are the other main attractions. Tourists can really enjoy the scenic beauty of Palakkad by traveling by boat through the reservoir. It was really an adventurous trip, felt like traveling through the sea. It came to picture only after 10 minutes from the starting point!

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: We have stayed at hotel Srichakra International, located in the national high way 47, very near to Palakkad city. It is one of the best star hotels in India having 3 star with 5 star facilities. The room rent is reasonable and the food is delicious and more tasty. We have seen many star hotels like Tripenta, Govardhana, Indraprastha, Fort Palace,Surya City etc. And also there are many normal family restaurants and tourist homes available, shopping is our dreams wherever we go. So we went to Kandath shopping complex , Big Bazaar and Jobi's Shopping Mall , which are located in the heart of the Palakkad city. We have also shopped to one of the biggest duty paid shop there. The main attractions for shopping are antiques, dress , bakes, fast food centers, fashion etc.

Activities & things to do: Sight seeing, trekking, Malampuzha has the only ropeway in Kerala, Ayurvedic treatments, The old MANAS in Ottapalam, Heritage Agraharams in Palakkad, Nelliyampathi hill station, Parambikulam reserve forest, mountaneering, Tippu Fort in the middle of Palakkad town, etc.

Palakkad Experience: This is a place just for Ayurvedic Kerela massages. It is a small town with very little to offer in terms of sight-seeing, landscapes or activities to do.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: If you are an outdoor or activity person, you will get bored of the city fast. Kochi is 150 km away and a good beach destination. Allepey, the famous backwaters destinaion, is about 200km and takes about 5 hrs to reach.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Nelliyampathy is a trekker's delight. A small and beautiful waterfall amongst a forest called Dhoni is also a place worth a watch. Not much for shopping
