"munsiari"

Pithoragarh Experience: Journey to Munsiari in Pithoragarh vide chokori was very exiting, with the picturesque mountains with ample of waterfalls en route. munsiari in itself was also very beautiful with a view of snow peaks though visible only for a few minutes a day when the sky got cleared. However, the overcast sky of munsiari was in itself a view worth watching. The place is untouched, thus lacking many facilities that the big towners are so used to, basic facility like a newspaper is not available with the newspaper reaching there only by late afternoon. Food choice was also very limited in the small hamlet. But compromising on these small things was not difficult to get the pleasant experience of living in the small hamlet of Munsiari as its virgin natural beauty more than made up for all the shortcomings.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Choice of food is very limited with almost no choice outside the hotel you stay
Activities & things to do: Only activity available is nature walks or trekking and having fun at the waterfalls. But it is worth everything going for that much too.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Its better to go to munsiari in sep-oct when the skies are more clear to enjoy the mountain peaks view for longer durations.

"Heaven on earth"

Pithoragarh Experience: Hi, Pithoragarh is a beautiful hill station still undiscovered. After a long journey from Kathgodam, I never thought that I’ll land up in such a big city just in the foothills of Himalayas. I am sure it must be the most modern town which is closest to Himalayas.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The town is beautiful and also the nearby places. Specially Chandak. It gives a magnificent view of the Himalayas.
Activities & things to do: NA
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: 7 hours from Kathgodam the nearest railway station.
