Raichak Experience: nice week end / yr end spot to relax and connect to nature. Ideal for people looking for a peaceful atmosphere to unwind from the daily hustle bustle stress.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: just like home, the ferry on ganges is just awesum. Been in Winter, I was able to get pure 'nolen gur' bengali's favourite!

Activities & things to do: located in diamond harbour one can visit richak too

Raichak Experience: Place was good to travel wid sum1 else or wid frnds 1 thing please be sure that wen u buking ne hotel please be specific about all the details.... and dnt stay in Arena Hotel.........

Raichak Experience: Its quite near to the city, yet far from the humdrum's. greenery twines the river shore. experiencing sunshine by the river is worth visiting the place. and a full moon adds to the platter.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The hotel serves exquisite cuisine. quality and presentation of the food is superb. went for long hours of strolling amidst greenery lining the river banks. boating on the river amidst twilight is a lifetime experience.

Activities & things to do: Just cut yourself from the busy world and plunge into blissful oblivion

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Its merely an hour and a half from the city. buses ply regularly from esplanade on a regular basis Beware of mosquitoes if you choose to take a stroll along the river bank after sunset

Raichak Experience: It's great. Every one can n-joy with family here. Very good destination for child and nature lover also, from howrah 4 hrs journey preferably by duronto exp. Be aware of trouts during hotel selection.

Raichak Experience: I did not find destination as road is quite narrow & traffic moves very slow. Destination does not have any activity to do & one gets confined to hotel only.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is quite OK. No shopping or sight seeing is available.

Activities & things to do: Hotel has limited activities for guests.

Raichak Experience: Nice and great experience. It was a two hour drive from Kolkata. View from the room was nice. was charged for the two bottles of mineral water that was in the room while checking in.staff was supportive.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Reflection was great for its food and view too.The indian quarter was closed.Chinese section was good.

Activities & things to do: Enjoy all activities from swimming, golf,pool,tennis,game zone.Pari was nice but we were not provided with the refreshments that was promised.

Raichak Experience: Raichak is a sleepy town on the banks of the majestic river Ganges. Its a definite Weekend getaway for people staying in and around Kolkata. The best thing about the place is the calm. It makes you forget the daily hustle bustle. Its best to drive down to the place. Stay there for one or two days and enjoy the view of the river and the pure air. Also, a lot depends on your choice of lodging so book a place accordingly.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food available at the resort that we stayed in was good. This place is not meant for shopping so dont expect to shop there except for green vegetables or fish that you might or might not want to carry back to Kolkata

Activities & things to do: One can take a boat ride on the river. Thats the only thing thats fun. The weather is pretty pleasant there. In November it was pretty cold in the evening.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The distance from Kolkata isn't much and also the Diamond Harbor Road offers you resting and eating options all along the way. Dont forget to carry mosquito repellent gels/ creams/ lotions coz the mosquitos wont let you stay outdoors if you dont. I couldn't see a good market there so carry your booze along.

Raichak Experience: This place is 30-40 km from Kolkata and is a quite and peaceful place. The River Hoogly is the main attraction of the place and you can come here to laze around on the banks for a day or two. The only good place to stay here is Ffort Radisson

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The only resort here worth staying is the Fort Radission. Its a 18th Century British Fort converted into a star hotel. The old charm of the fort is still maintained and its a place worth staying

Activities & things to do: The hotel has an entertainment section where u can swim, play and work out in the gym. The hotel can make arrangements for boat rides and angling
