Ranikhet Experience: Ranikhet is situated 90 KM from Haldwani, Just 2 to 2 & Half HRS Drive from either Nainital or Haldwani. As Name 'Ranikhet', place is surrounded by full of green lands and forest. Himalayan View is also good especially in the morning when sky is clear. good climate, not too cold not too hot \'Feel Mountains Feel Himalaya\' and relax

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food we have taken at Parvati Inn. Food is good not too spicy, Room Service is good. A Restaurant Named Ranikhet INN is also a good place of food with great view of Himalaya on terrace placed at the heart of the Local Market Jhoola Devi Temple, KRC Museum, Binsar Mahadev Temple (Very Good), Mankameshwar Temple, Ram Mandir. For Shopping, KRC Shwals & Suits is the best place for purchasing woolen fabrics, Limited Choice but its good and value for money situated in front of Mankameshwar Temple. Both, Temple & KRC Shwals & Suits are managed by KRC Ranikhet

Ranikhet Experience: Ranikhet offers little by way of activities or sights However, the views, the scenery, the surroundings make up for that There wasnt much in choices for food places

Ranikhet Experience: good location for siteseeing, nature lovers, splly for newly married..

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: site seeing was good indeed near about places, ranikhet is small town with army regiment, so i dont feel there is no shoping environment

Ranikhet Experience: Excellent destination. will love to visit again. very quiet place to spend your holiday

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Army museum is very nice place to see. hedakhan temple and view of Himalayan ranges from there is awesome.

Ranikhet Experience: It is located at top of the ranikhet market from where one can view the entire Himalayan range & lush green mountain at a glance .All rooms of the hotel are facing towards mountains & Himalayan range.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: It a small-town size place but has all the facilities you need and awesome food quality you get everywhere at very reasonable rates. we can get a large variety of clothes of good quality at reasonable price.

Activities & things to do: 1. Bhalu Dam on Kosi River, a few kilometers from Chaubattia, is the place where anglers can enjoy fishing. But before this, you have to take prior permission from the Chief Wildlife Warden Dehradun. 2. there is a famous Kalika Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali. Another significant temple is Jhula Devi Temple which is dedicated to Jhula Devi; it is believed that the goddess grants all the wishes of her devotees.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Valleys and hills in and around Ranikhet are ideal for Eco-tourists and adventure tourists. Trekking can be undertaken throughout the year, but the ideal season are from April to July or from October to November. The valleys are quite picturesque, clean and refreshing. This is an ideal place to enjoy cool summer and escape from summer heat of the plains. Ranikhet is a very safe place for tourists. As you walk through the wooded forest enjoying the scenic natural beauty, you might feel being in a paradise.

Ranikhet Experience: Ranikhet is very well located in the Himalayan mountain range of Uttarakhand. One may comfortably enjoy the scenic beauty in and around Ranikhet.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: As Parvati Inn is centrally located, the food and shopping was much easier.

Activities & things to do: Sight-seeing and golf. One can visit nearby Chiliyanaula too.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: One can travel by train up to Kathgodam/Haldwani Station from where taxis are frequently available for Ranikhet. Or, alternatively, one may travel by road all the way up to Ranikhet. Pantnagar's is the nearest airport.

Ranikhet Experience: Ranikhet is just untouched beauty of nature, a small-town size place but has all the facilities you need and awesome food quality you get everywhere at very reasonable rates. The local crowd is quite standard and had a warm welcome everywhere, the hotel we stayed was okay but they didn't provided 24hrs running hot water and not upto the mark provision for cold weather but the hotel being in main market place, we had a such grate view from 2nd floor ice caped mountains was the best view you get in ranikhet..MTDC resort is also there bt its quite away from market and having a nice view but food over there was not so good...

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Clear view of ice caped mountains was just awesome.. for shopping u can try woolen cloths. .

Activities & things to do: Not much just enjoyed the sight seeing and pleasant weather..

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Its almost 10 hrs journey from delhi airport its near by nainital have a safe n secure option of traveling from delhi to ranikhet.. as the villages coming in a way are not so good and have meal in delhi, coz once you leave delhi there are not so good options till u reach ranikhet / nainital.

Ranikhet Experience: If you love mountains and ready to drive 10 hrs this place is worth visiting.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Nothing special about food, the best sight is apple garden.

Activities & things to do: Buy natural products like jam & buransh squash good for heart , u can have fresh juice apple juice from govt apple orchids.o

Ranikhet Experience: If anyone want to enjoy the pine forests, snow clad peaks, well maintained by our Indian army a beautiful town one should reach Ranikhet.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Golf course and the army museum is a must see place.

Activities & things to do: Enjoy the panoramic view of Himalayas.

Ranikhet Experience: Ranikhet is a place within nature . It is a very calm Place full of greenery. A very neat and clean city as it is the area of gorkha regiment. Good place for those who want a break from the busy and noisy life of metros specially. People are good and friendly.Not much to see and do their just relax.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The bal mithai of Ranikhet is very famous and also tasty. The shawl emporium of war widows has good collection of winter wear not to be missed.The fresh juices at chaubatia garden are also worth buying specially the litchi juice.The experience of playing golf at golf course was very enjoyable.there are also silverware available here which are beautiful.

Activities & things to do: A lot of beautiful places around ranikhet are worth viewing like Kausani, Binsar etc.when in ranikhet Golf couse is a place were u can enjoy nature and golf both.Ntaure walk through Chaubatia gardens and a ghanti wala temple are also a good experience.there is a museum of gorkha regiment which is a very very good place to visit.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: We went through car from Noida.It took us almost 8 and a half hours to reach ranikhet. We started at around 5 o'clock in the morning and reached at around1:30 in the afternoon.it is better u travel by own car.Weather was good in the beginning of April evenings were cold and afternoon were pleasant .Woollens were required in the evening and cotton clothes in afternoon.

Ranikhet Experience: Ranikhet is a nice place to visit but i was there just for a day, as i was in transit to binsar. excellent place to visit.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: We just had dinner at night and breakfast in the morning. it was good.

Activities & things to do: Ihad no time to explore the place.

Ranikhet Experience: A good drive through the hills, nearby you can see Jhoola devi temple ( never seen so many bells at one place), visit to Chabotia is must. Good drive through the middle of golf course.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Chabutia is good place, drive to Chabotia from Resort was very exciting.

Ranikhet Experience: It was a wonderful experience of visiting ranikhet. Myself and my family visited the ranikhet. We have taken super delux rooms at Himadri Hotel.Quality of food and service was very food.One evening we had our dinner at mayur Hotel near parvati hotel its quality and service was good.

Ranikhet Experience: Ranikhet is a calm place far from maddening crowds which we normally come across at tourist places. The serenity and quiet atmosphere is ideal for families who want to be away from the hectic schedules they come across daily living in big cities.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There aren't any great restaurants in the small market, neither you have much to choose for shopping other than shawls and locally made tweed coats. The view of jungle and the mountain peaks makes for a nice holiday.

Activities & things to do: nothing in particular.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Two ways to reach Ranikhet. One is via Kathgodam and the other is via Ramnagar. Both these stations can be reached by train.

Ranikhet Experience: Vinsar Mahadev Sauni-Dolikhet was an ancient very small temple in the dance forest, local fair on shivratri were celebrated by near by villagers one day when Shri Devi Singh Jalal then teacher at Deolikhet met a Baba at Deolikhet Bazar and the Baba asked him and the people there to identify a place where he can do his puja. Shri Devi Singh Jalal and other villager from local took the Baba to Vinsar and cleaned the surrounding made a hut for Baba. The main founder member of Vinsar Mahadev were Shri Devi Singh Jalal (Dubhana), Amba Dutt Bhatt (Daurakhal), Mohan Singh(Pastora), Khim Singh Bisht(Naphana) and support of many more near by villagers.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There were a lot of options for local food.To name a few i liked Kari bhat, Bhat ki dal, Gauhat ki dal, Madua ki roti.

Activities & things to do: Rock climbing, Corbet park.
