Its like visiting a tourist location in the US. Excellent city, to live in or visit. Mixes superb hospitality with decent infrastructure and a tourist-friendly mindset.Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Cannot miss 'Nizams Jewellery Collection', Salarjung museum and Golconda Fort. A hidden secret is the Lumbini park Laser and Water show. I would not recommend the Golconda Light and Sound show because it is mosquito-infested and rather humdrum.
Snowworld is another place worth visiting if you have the time.
Waterfront is by far the restaurant that is unique to Hyderabad.
However, if you go to Hyderabad - you must not leave without having the Biryani at Paradise. Paradise is a heritage restaurant located close to the airport and serves up the best biryani in the world! Activities & things to do
Shopping around Charminar is fantastic for ethnic stuff. Just dress conservative and you will get a great deal.
Bargaining is a must :-) Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
The rickshaws are robbers here. I would suggest that you use CelCabs (040-23242526). This is a call-taxi service that you can call. They have a range of services that they offer and a fixed rate so haggling is not a concern. | |
