Multiples religion followers do stay here. nice destinations are within easy reach including Nal sarovar famous for migratory birds, sidi saiyaad mosque, hathising derasar, both within city. Indroda park for fossils etc. good quality hotels from budget to 5 star are in adundance. With Sabarmati riverfront project coming into full swing the city is poised to give excellent tourist spots also.. Food, sight-seeing and shopping Veg. food lovers heaven. It offers many spciality outlets the best being Swati which gives the real taste of tasty healthy food. than there are us pizza and pizza huts and what not. candle light dinner at bhagwati is marvellous. so is true for taj. lot of roadside delicacies also are abundant do not forget to eat panipuri. bombay style chana is a special delight on c.g. road. For standard Gujarati food do not look futher but drop in at Gopi or Pakwaan or Sasuji. Activities & things to do best time to visit is second week of january when kite flying festival is in full swing. Year round various exhibitions keep on happening. Vibrant Gujarat is another best time to visit the place. For shopping do visit after mid july upto august when one can get genuine bargain for quality products. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. easily connected with Delhi and Mumbai by air, well connected by train to almost all the major places of India. By road NH8 connects. Lot of news paper might be writing about communal imbalance but if one really wants to see how communal harmony can be maintained look no furthur and reach to Ahmedabad, founded by muslim king on observing rabbit attacking dog! | |
