Surat is heaven for those who love food and live to eat! In Dec-Jan you will get ponk (green jowar grains) with Green Chilly-Garlic chutney and Sev (deep-fried gram-flour noodles). OOndhiyu, you wont forget once ate. Blended with variety of vegetables like Potato, sweet potato, bringal, raw banana, tomato and many green pulses, it is prepared in green spices and herbs. No dried spices are used.
Khaman Dhokla (spongy salty steamed cake made from fermented besan dough) and Sev-khamani are delicious preparations that once tasted becomes a strong reason to visit Surat again.

Surat is easily reachable place located on National Highway no. 8 and on western broad-gauge railway line connecting Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Delhi. It has an Airport to fly Mumbai.
