KASAULI- The Dream Hill Town
Overview of the destination
Kasauli-formerly a British Town is a quiet and serene place. It is well known for its scenic beauty and natural surroundings.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping
FOOD-Kasauli does not have good eating joints. Good eating joints are located at Dharampur which is half an hour from Kasauli and is well connected by buses. The good restaurants there are - Modern Dhaba, Chopsticks Sankhang, Hot Millions and Shan-e-Himachal. Hemkunth Hotel near is also a good place to eat. ATTRACTIONS- The upper & lower mall, Christ Church, St, Patrick's Church, Sanawer, The Gurkha Fort at Sabathu, Manki Point, Central Research Institute Kasauli, the old cemetery. For adventurous people, ideal places to trek- Kasauli Village (Nari Mandir, Samaul, Ettawah, Kasauli Gaon, Gilbert Trail and Jangeshu) SHOPPING- Tibetan Market, Sadar and Arath Bazaar.

Activities & things to do
Activites are limited. Kasauli is a place meant for people interested in adventure and relaxation. Youngsters who expect a lot of activites such as gaming, discos etc will be disappointed.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
WARNING- Kasauli is purely an Army Cantonment. Any unruly behaviour such as littering, drinking in public, destruction of public property or rowdy behaviour may land you into trouble with the Army and Locals. REACHING THERE- Nearest station is Kalka, from there buses are avaliable to Dharampur-near Kasauli, The Heritage toy Train is also avaliable till Dharampur. Taxis are very expensive. Patients suffering from medical problems must carry their medications as medical facilities in Kasauli is limited.
