Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Hanuman temple on Monkey Point (Timing between 9 AM to 4 PM) -The best time to visit Mankey point is 9 AM when the sun is not to hot and you are full of energy as you have to cover the last Kilometer by foot which includes a steep climb of around 500 meters. The view from the top is excellent and well worth the effort. Gilbert trail on Upper Mall ? Ideal for long nature walks amidst pine trees. One can see Kalka and Chandigarh on a clear day. Activities & things to do
Other than long walks on the mall and Gilbert trail another option is to go to the Kasauli club which offers daily guest membership at Rs 40 per person per day. It has excellent facilities including Tennis, billiards etc and a bar and restaurant

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
It is 55 kms from Chandigarh and can be reached by bus/ car. Kasauli has a small market catering to items of daily needs, other than that there is nothing to write home about. There is only one chemist shop so if you are on any special medication be sure to carry it along as you may not get it in kasauli.
