Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Food: Mall road has many restaurants most of which serve good food. Try the shere punjab hotel on mall road . Also , if you are staying in a hotel on Naggar road try the small dhaba on that road. This guy makes ekdam garma garam parathas. The place is not that great but the food is. You can go to the Himachal Pradesh Taxi union on the Mall road and take the tours that they have. They have well planned tours so that you can see all of Manali. Also, dont miss a temple that they take you to in Kulu. The temple has beautiful carving done on the roof. Snow point is another favorite. Rohtang Pass is open only after May 2nd week, so plan accordingly. You can also visit the hadimba devi temple. You can shop on the Mall road but make sure you bargain. If you want to buy authenic shawls try Bhutti Co. On the mall road. Its a goverment owned place hence the chances of you getting cheated are rare.

Activities & things to do
Just go sight seeing that will be fun. also you can do Para Gliding and some other fun activites at Solang Valley.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
you can fly to delhi and then fly to kulu from delhi. You can take a pre paid taxi from Kulu then to Manali. Warning : Please make sure you break your stay in Delhi as the flights get cancelled some times. Its takes you a day atleast to reach delhi from Manali by Taxi.
