 stay options in manali
We are a group of 5 families planning to visit manali on17th january 2009. We shall be 10 adults, 5 kids 5-12 yrs and 3 kids below 5 yrs. We are looking for the stay options so that we are able to avoid the hotels and get some accomodations in the cottages where we can get the kitchen and the house help and can cook the food our selves. The rates asked by the hotels seem to be highly illogical and exheburantly overpriced. I wonder if any one can suggest me an accomodation with a proper housekeeping and other creature comforts. We dont mind staying a few kilometers out of the town or out of the way as we shall be travelling by our own cars. We would prefer if anyone could suggest some place by the river which offers campfire by the riverside.
 Honeymoon trip to Manali/Kufri
Hi, I intend to go to Simla(kufri)/Manali in first week of December for my honeymoon. Main attraction was the snow. But I read in some sections in this site that Rohtang Pass would be closed then. Any other alternate locations to head for snow ?
