The tour of Devobhumi creates a lot of pleasure among us. First it will start from Kalka. A beautiful small luxuary train called Shivalik Express will take u to simla with 104 tunnels. Shimla the biggest hill station in India with a beautiful mall will give u the chance of evening roaming and then manali and manikaran and in the month of february .The manali town was full of snow.Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Food was extremely good. Both veg and non veg foods are availble here. Activities & things to do
Simla sight-seeing first day sankotmochan temples,
jakhu hills, Government musuem, Institute of Advance studies, green Valley and Helipad and last but not least evening arati in Simla Kalibari.
Second day we went to Fagu and Kufri. Horse ride through snow to masu peak (Valley) and Desu peak was unforgettable. A zoo with full of snow and historical building where the simla agreement had signed are two other important sights. Definitely do some skiing in Masu Valley. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
If u like to go by train first go to kalka then take a luxury train called Shivalik Express . It was a memorable journey of 4 to 5 hours to Shimla. From Delhi , Chandigarh and Kalka Direct Buses Delux , Super Delux and Video Coaches are availble. | |

 Visiting Shimla first week of March | | Hi,
i am planing to visit shimla manali, and vaishnov devi around first week of march,
a) my quiries are is it right time to visit this places, there will be a snow or not?............
b) I will be traveling from mumbai. so how will i reach please give me a detail of route.
c) What will be the hotel charges and other fares.
d) Which places are worth to visit.
please give me in detail since this will be a first time i will be traveling there.
thanks buntee............ | | | Staying in Shimla, Manali in LAst week of Dec | | My family and me are planning a vacation from 26th Dec'08 to 3 rd Jan'09 to Shimla, Manali and Delhi. Can anybody please let us know of some budget and decent hotels to stay for 8 people. We want rooms in the range of 1200- 1800 Rs,something for decent staying purpose. Please let us know asap as we are running short of time and the booking price are going high. Please also the best places to see around.

we have planned to travel to shimla and manali.. on december last week
will be reaching shimla by dec 29 evening and visit the places in and around for 2 days..and on 31st visit manali and sightseein for 2 days in manali.
We have booked for stay in manali.. Now i have a few questions
* Is there any decent budget accomodation available near shimla?
* How to reach manali from shimla..what is the best means of transport?
* Is it worth to hire a cab from shimla to manali, and say how useful/convinient it will be to travel in and around the places in shimla and manali in the cab for all the 5 days?
