All three destinations are architectural marvels. Amazing temples, meeting halls, meditation cells were built in the 16th century during the Vijaynagar era. The setting of the Badami carvings - caves and temples - is fantastic. It is on a curved hill with a huge lake in the center.Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Temples are the focus of all sightseeing. All three destinations are a bit far from each other. Hampi is close by and worth a visit as well. There are no shopping options of any significance. Activities & things to do

All three destinations are quite far from each other. The destinations are accessible by medicore roads from Belgaum, Hubli, Hospet and Goa. The closest train station would be at Hubli.
Avoid travelling here in the summer due to extreme heat. Best time to travel would be the winter months. Clubbing Hampi with a visit to these destinations is strongly recommended. | |
