Bangalore | 6th March 2007 | | STAY IN A NATIONAL PARK | Overview of the destination
I visited Bandipur National Park along with my family and stayed there for two nights. We had our accommodation booked in Tusker Trials (a resort) very near to Bandipur National Park. Since our tour was in the month of September/October, it was very pleasant. The jeep rounds/trips inside the National Park while it was drizzling sligtly was wonderful and unforgetable experience. However, except the Bison, we could not trace any other animal on our three trips inside the national park.Food, sight-seeing and shopping
We stayed in Tusker Trials resort - a very enjoyable place. The food and reception was wonderful with warmth. The price is also reasonable and affordable to middle class people. I am sorry, there is nothing for shopping at this place. Activities & things to do
I suggest people visiting this place take early morning brisk walks to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
It is always better to hire a taxi from Mysore if you do not have one of your own since the resorts such as Tusker Trials, Tiger Ranch, Country Club etc. can be approached only by private vehicles. Other than this no risk is involved. | |

 Jungle Lodges Or Tusker Trails...??! | | Hi...
I am Planning a trip Next week to Bandipur ,So thought will take you guyz opinion on two things...
1. which would be a better option to choose b/w TUSKER TRAIL & JUNGLE Lodges.
2. Is there any facility for forest Ride on an Elephant( safari)at Tuskar trails resort.

Arka | | | Bandipur safari | | We are planning to visit Mysore & Ooty aroudn the 15th of April. We also wanted to visit either Bandipur or Mudumalai sanctuaries which I believe would be on the way.
Firstly. which one should we see, is there a difference in the animals seen in both?
Secondly, is it necessary to stay over at the national parks at one of the lodges or can one have a stopover on the way from Mysore to Ooty? Does anyone know the safari timings?
