Hampi
Overview of the destination
The destination is definitely a 10/10 for history buffs like me, Hampi was an amazing place. The government has maintained the place very well, the ancient ruins like Ugranarasimha, stone chariot & the old market place is worth visiting. Hampi is definitely a must visit place for Indians as it gives a sneak peek into our wonderful history which was so rich & prosperous.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping
This place as I have mentioned earlier has lot of places to visit but my advice would be to travel in your own vehicle or take a package through KSTDC. There is Tungabhadra dam close by & also a place which not many people know about is a small town called Sandur around 40 kms from Hampi which has a beautiful resort named Wonder Valley which has a water park, go-karting, camel & horse riding. Good place to visit if time permits.

Activities & things to do
Activities in Hampi is definitely limited to sight seeing in & around Hampi.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
From Bangalore take the route to Hospet to kamalpur & to hampi; there are lots of Karnataka tourism sign boards & the place is very easy to reach.

 Commuting to Hampi
Can anyone tell me about the bus / train services between Bangalore and Hampi?
 Hampi visit
We are planning a 3 day trip to Hampi. Is March a good season or will the heat make it unbearable to explore all the heritage sites. Also which is the best place o stay Hampi or Hospet?
