Overview of the destinationDevbagh beach Reort (DBR) at Karwar is a destination in itself. A island of sorts cut off from the main land by an estuary, its is located at the point where the Kali river meets the Arabian sea. The beach is one long stretch of clean sand. Along the ebach are Casuarina groves, among which accomodation is available. Its a beautiful place, not crowded by too many people and a large area to find your own privacy. A good option for stay up to 3 days.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping
We stayed at Jungle Lodges Devbagh Beach Resort (DBR) - so frankly, can't say much on eating options elsewhere. Meals at DBR are good with sufficient variety and catering to a range of tastes. Though no 5-star buffetts here, meals are enjoyable.
Activities & things to do
Water sports are available though snorkelling/diving is difficult as the sea bed is churned a lot by the Kali river emptying its waters close to the island. The morning nature walk is interesting though no major wildlife can be seen.
