Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. Polythene bags are strictly prohibited at the Mysore Zoo if you by chance happen to carry it u can transfer your contents to Paper bag provided by the zoo authorities.
To reach Mysore from Bangalore A/c Volvo buses are your best bet, they charge around Rs.200/- and run almost round the clock. We took a bus at leaving Bangalore at 11 p.m.
Auto Rickshaws and Horse drawn carriages are the best mode of transport for travelling in Mysore.
