| Janardhan Bangalore | 17th March 2007 | | Memorable day at Munnar | Overview of the destination We visited Munnar to look at the once-in-twelve-years phenomenon, the Nilakurinji Flowers. Munnar means congregation of three rivers in Malayalam, but what we found was not just the congregation of the rivers, but also of the mountains, tea gardens and the mountain fresh air. It is one of the most unforgettable tours for our family. If Nilakurinji flowers and sipping coffee is added to the atmosphere, then the tour becomes most unforgettable.Food, sight-seeing and shopping Not to be missed are the fresh aromas of spices, cardomon and of course, tea. Activities & things to do Excellent for fresh air. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. Misty mountains are a stunner | |

Ramprasad. | | Munnar | | Hi
We are planning a trip to Munnar for a week in the fourth week of October this year. We would like some advice in visiting nearby tourist spots.
We are planning to travel by train from Mumbai. What are the different travel options that are available to reach Munnar and to visit other areas from the resort.
If there are any places to be avoided, please let us know.
Thanks in Advance
