Overview of the destination we were a group of friends (only guys) and we drove up to a farm house near Murbad. The drive from Pune to this place was absolutely smooth as the roads are good. The scenic beauty is fantastic around Murbad-Malshej stretch. We went under the waterfalls near Siddhagad fort and then later drove further to Malshej. Again the drive was amazing and smooth. Tree lined roads, dense green cover, clouds kissing the huge mountains and drizzle of rains. We were enjoying every bit of this. As we reached Malshej, we saw several groups enjoying waterfall along the ghat. The place is indeed heavenly and in fact i would recommend the complete stretch from Karjat to Malshej...its just awesome in the monsoons.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping we were stationed in a farmhouse near murbad where the food was excellent and scenery around was great too. as mentioned earlier, the entire stretch up to malshej is worth seeing.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc. from Pune, you can either go via Nashik Rd. (Ale phata) or take the Pune-Khopoli-Karjat-Malshej route. the latter is longer but it gives you a great drive!
