Overview of the destination
Fantastic place to be. I stayed their for 7 days and i am sure this is a good amount of time to explore it better.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Stay at Nilambar Cottages. They are good to stay. You will get a decent cottage and view from the cottage is great. Food you can always gather on your way to site seeing. Remember always to carry water with you as you are required to walk a lot (if you want to explore Pachmari in its true spirit). Visit Sangam Vihar, but ensure that you have a brave heart to be there as you wont any other human besides your group :-). Great place to spend the day.

Activities & things to do
Hiking is the best activity possible. You can travel deep in the jungle and still be safe! You will not find human beings and will be left all alone with the nature. I am sure you will love the place.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
It is located in Madhya Pradesh. Nearest airport is Bhopal. From Bhopal you can get a taxi or catch good M.P Tourism bus. Its just 180 KM (approx.) from Bhopal. Keep your sport shoes. You have to walk a lot on foot. If you are not a very frequent walker, i suggest you also carry some pain killing ointments :-) Carry mosquito repellents with you. And do not forget to carry camera. I am sure you will find host of opportunities to capture.

Why did Mrs. Indira Gandhi fall in love with Pachmarhi? You will get the answer when you see the Priyadarshini Point. Our visits to ?Bee fall?, the ?Lake?, the ?sunset point? and in particuar ?Priyadarshini Point? were memorable. You see, on your way to any destination from Bhopal, miles and miles of field of wheat and other crops. A Maharashtrian, naturally should have an inferiority complex after seeing this rich agriculture.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping
If you do not get accomodation at MP tourism hotel. Then go for only Pandav, located in the shopping area. Here you select rooms on the 1st or 2nd floor on the rear side of the hotel which gives a good view from the balcony. You will see this in one of my photographs. Food at Hotel Pandav was excellent. Thanks to the Wheat and Vegetables of Malwa. Initially, we were rather disappointed when we came to know that the restaurant here is a pure veg. After having one veg. meal, we forgot non-veg food.

Activities & things to do
Pachmarhi is best for trekkers. You should be prepared to stay here for a week to enjoy the real treks in the dense foliage of Pachmarhi.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
Do not take any other accomodation than the MP tourism hotels at Panchmarhi. Do not plan your trip with ?Gurunath Holidays, Pune?, never. My experience with MP tourism corporation was also worst. They are most probably, they are sold out to private Tour organisers. So the tip is, if you have a reliable tour operator, let him book your hotel at places like Panchmarhi and other imp. places because the location of Hotels owned by MP tourism corporation is excellent.
