Not avery enjoyable experience. Since there is nothing much to do in Bharatpur apart from the bird sanctuary. And that too is not very interesting now as the lake has dried up.Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Food at the place we stayed was very oily. Not much of choice and very costly. The resort is Kadamb Kunj. They do not serve local food at all. Service was good, people in the hotel were quite polite though. They had a puppet show in the evening which was very short. Activities & things to do
The only activity is going to the bird sanctuary. You have to be beware of the rickshaw pullers who are supposed to be official guides too. they take Rs 50 per hour to show you the sanctuay and they deliberately drive the rickshaw as slowly as possible to make more money. There are bicycles which can be hired inside the sanctuary which is a better option. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
There are trains from Delhi which is a better option than driving by your own vehicle. | |
