It's raw, totally green, pollution free, healthy atmosphere. Law and order is wonderful. It's great for relaxation and peace.Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Chinese Tibetian food is great! But no real good fast food for kids. Rope way is excellent. concept of no vehicles in market gives freedom of movement and enjoy surroudings. nothing great for shopping so you can leave your wife alone in market!!!! Nathula, xangu lake and zero point worth visiting. Carry eatables and water along while visiting these places. Activities & things to do
Nothing notable. You are on your own strolling and enjoying the raw nature. Kids do get bored. But yes chopper ride along the valley is great and noval expirience. Has to be booked in advance. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
Baghdogra is the air base. From there you can hire seats in helicopter or hire a cab. Suggest one way by both as by land you can enjoy your drive along river teesta and can have river rafting on way. | |

 Sikkim Tour in Nov 08 | | Six of us are planning a four day trip to Sikkim. Need some advice on where to stay on a Rs 1000 per night (for two) budget. Also how best to arrange trips to Rumtek, Tsomgo Lake and Pemyangtse and the tentative per person cost.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am planning a trip to Sikkim in Feb or March 2009 for 10-12 days. I would like to know whether it would be a nice time to visit the place. I would also like to know the cost for the entire trip from Mumbai per person and the best way to reach Sikkim keeping the time factor in mind. I would also need the details of a good tour operator who can arrange for the trip.
