Bangalore | 14th March 2007 | | Dakshin Chitra - ECR Chennai | Overview of the destination
On my recent trip to Chennai, I visited this place called Dakshin Chitra. This is on East Coast Road juts after the Mayajaal, some 20 km from Chennai on the way to Mahabalipuram. It mainly showcases the rich tradition of four south Indian states. We can know about their way of living, kind of food they are eating, the kind of houses they are living (you can see the typical Chettinad houses here) their culture, their music and even their food (there is a restaurant which serves the typical food of each state). You can even attend sessions on Pot making, basket making etc. Next time if going to Chennai don?t miss this place.Food, sight-seeing and shopping

Almost spend 5-6 hrs Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
