Overview of the destination
It is a place for nature lovers with ambient climate to relax in summer. Unlike ooty it is still unexploited and hence not popular as such. One more major advantage of this place is easy reach from near by rail head. It is more suitable for common man not denying any thing for the rich. However there is nothing for shopping but for few spices and natural oils.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping
One cannot expect much choice here. But whatever available is very good because most of them are grown organically or without much pesticides and chemicals.

From Salem one can get there by bus. Taxis are very costly. For just 35 km they may charge upto rs 1000/-. However some times you may get shared taxis.
