Food, sight-seeing and shopping
theres no actual restaurants near park area but all t resorts do serve good multi cuisine food always. we had a very good expirience with quality food at River wild Camp resort. otherwise ramnagar is very near by for any purchases. for sight seeing , its the corbett park naturally! you are sure to see tuskers in herds, deers, dancing peacocks, wild rabbits, wild cocks, boars, etc plus numerous crocodiles in t river!! and if lucky enough might see tiger also! we missed out on tiger but saw the fresh claws marks of it !! shopping-wise = NOTHING! great for the pocket!

Activities & things to do
as for activities its only the jeep safaris to the park- its in two shifts- early morning and early evening and takes around 02 hrs. You have to get up very early in morning to get permits from ramnagar, its at nominal rates per person. Book a open jeep via your resort previous day, the same fellow will take you for permit and safari. there are 3 gates of park, try to be early to get permit from main gate as only 30 vehicles are allowed per gate per shift. plus there are night safaris organised on request but outside the park on the road going from corbett to ranikhet, its a great expirience and you often come across some wildlife!

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
go by own vehicle preferably as the drive is wonderful through the lush green jungles! otherwise ramnagar is nearest railhead from where its just 10-15 kms. imp. own vehicle should be big and sturdy with high chasis as you may come across many small water streams crossing the road or many rounded stones on the way!
