"A good place for spiritual awakening best place to visit golden temple" new review

Punjab is best for its food specially the lassi and parata with ghee. The trip to golden temple in the night time is a beautiful view with the golden temples shadow in the water. The air in this place has some magic of soothing your mind and is a must visit.

"Amritsar - The Heritage Walk" new review

  • Posted 4 weeks ago
In Amritsar, do you know why a corner of every balcony has a hand attached to it with the forefinger pointed down to the ground? ”
Honestly, I did not know that even its not noticeable to me. Mr Davinder Singh was smiling and waiting for our answer. Instead of making a wild guess, we just nodded our head. He told us that he will explain it at the end of the tour.
Tour means the “Heritage Walk” by Mr Davinder Singh which has so much to offer in Amritsar beyond the Golden Temple, Jalianwalah Bagh and Wagah Border. I always believe that the walking is the best way to explore the place and its soul. On addition, you will need a passionate & knowledgeable person who is having a true love for his/her place.
There are so many untold stories behind the old town of Amritsar which is the perfect mix of Sikh, Moghul & British architecture. Mr Singh started his story with ten Sikh Gurus and their ideologies. We were speechless when we saw the first holy pool in the Sikh History at Gurudwara Santokhsar Sahib and Saragarhi Gurudwara which is the symbol of the great battle between 21 soldiers of Sikh Regiment who fought bravely against the army of 10, 000 Afghans. Old haveli, temples, Akhara, bazar of Amritsar will only give you the Desi touch of our soil.
As a typical Bengali, we always wanted food on every occasion to celebrate. Specially my mom doesn’t mind if you are serving sweets as a starter also This walking trip did not disappoint our taste buds at all. Our Bengali soul reached her ultimate happiness when we found the old outlet of Gurdas Ram Jalebi Wala of jalebi walla chowk. My mom gave a look of “where your diet went” to my second plate of jalebies, I ignored happily.
Our trip ended at the small shop of Darshan Lalo Kulcha Wala which is famous for authentic Punjabi Chole kulcha. Again, you can miss this shop if you are not aware of the city. It is a perfect example of how we are missing small happiness in our big shot life.
While our second round of breakfast, Mr Singh asked us “Did you get any answer for my question? ” I turned to him and said, “It implies that just be humble & ground to earth, no matter how much you achieved in your life”. He smiled silently & I felt why I knew the answer at the end of the trip. Amritsar & Mr Singh is a perfect living example of my answer.
