"A pilgrimage cum recreational trip covering Ahmedabad, Dwarka, Porbandar, Somnath and Diu." new review

Especially in Dwarka I find Hotels not adequately clean. There should be good rest houses or dharamshalas managed by state govt ., simple and inexpensive. Also the motor boats to Bhet Dwarka were ferrying passengers beyond it's capacities, mismanaged and unequipped with basic safety features.
Diu is very calm and peaceful, looks unexplored.

"Lord Krishna's capital"

  • 7.0/7

When experts have proved that the original Dwarika exists under the sea of Dwapar yuga, now you can feel the spiritual divine here. Come to feel the presence of karmayogi's spirit. The temple divine and betdwarika are worth seeing. We all should visit at least once.
The sea coast gives the place an additional tourist value. One of the 12 Jyotirlingas Nageshwar darshan is also a gift of this tour. Gujarati food will attract you as its a wide range of vegetable food in itself. For non-vegetarians a vivid sea food is waiting.
Since Gujarat is a liquor free state, you can find yourself in a totally different person with a religious and spiritual mood. So say Jai shree Krishna and come to this wonderful place.

At least spend 3 days, bhadkeshwar mahadev, dunny point, hanuman dandi are offbeat places near to Dwarka and you must enjoy.. Krishna temple is the main attraction, gayatri dham is good for sunset. Avoid in traditional festival due to excess crowd...

"Dwarkadheesh darshan"

  • 4.0/7
  • Posted Mar 17, 2017
Destination is little offbeat, but celebrating holi festival in front of the lord dwarkadheesh has its own importance. Temple location is great - just on the sea shore. Gomti River merges into the Arabian Sea at dwarkadheesh temple. Taking holy dip in this sangam washes off all your sins according to the hindu belief. We did just that and it felt very refreshing even though the atmosphere was little cold for the comfort.
It being a very Auspicious day and also a holiday, the rush was a lot more than routine. The queue was moving smoothly and darshan was satisfying. Gull and colors being sprinkled in the sanctum sanctorium was making the whole atmosphere very divine.
The place is worth a visit.
