Auli Experience: Auli is amazing location, we have pass thorugh Joshimath to reach to Auli... It is located at India China Border.ust stated, Auli is based on Top of the mountains & known for seeking location. we have viisted in month Of Oct 2009, so Summer was over & winter was just started, so missed snow seeking but it was very relax, journey as we have not face any crowed at all.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: As Auli is located at mountain top, It is only wasy to reach hotel is rope way... but you can use road transport also in summer days (as there is no snow & road are clear to drive). For Food we have to depend on hotel & you are far away from location. The amazing part is Maggi, there is small tea stall available nearby clifftop hotel at the corner of the mountian... to have tea / coffee & enjoy the view of mountain... (amazing exp.. unable to express in words) I though it is painting infront my eyes, as the view was so amazing from cliff top. We had Maggin which was cooked by local tea stall & alu ke parathe... (yummmyyyy). do check this out. You can try this if u do not want to have hotel food. There is nothing to sop, just enjoy the views. As the village is very small.

Activities & things to do: You can go for site seeing, sun set views, top mountain views, seeking in winter season, mana village, ganpati & valmiki caves... Valmiki caves it is again amazing ... it is having shop of book... (really need to c that) Badrinath temple: Beautiful Temple of Shiv... Sarawathi river... it is really making lot of noise & foce you to believe in old story of god & goddess. While reaching to Joshimath, you will find lot of villages located at prayag (i.e. junction of 2-3 river)

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: To reach Auli, you have to reach Haridwar, From ther u can either hire share or can hv pvt taxi to reach Joshimath... Form Joshimath by car or rope way. Be careful As the destination is in top of mountain, local transport is very expensive.. if possible do carry enough money.
