Bandhavgarh Experience: We went to see the Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh after our visit to Khajuraho Temples.We spent about three days in Bandhavgarh taking four jeep safaris to visit the park to see the wild life. Safaris are in the morning, 7AM to 10 AM and in the afternoon 2 PM to 5 PM. The park is very big and there are several entrances to the park taking you to different areas of the park. The park is fabulous to say the least and there is a rich wild life of tigers, deer, cheetals, wild boars, monkeys, langoors, cranes, blue jays, neelkanths, green pigeons, kingfishers, etc. You won't be disappointed and would want to go there again and again. Additionally, the natural scenery is superb and sunrise and sunsets are a beauty to watch.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: For most of the time we stayed in the park and the rest of the time was spent at the resort where we were staying. There was no time to look around for shopping etc. It is not the place for shopping - you go there to see the wild life and tigers in the park.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: As we went to Khajuraho first, we took a taxi from there to Bandhavgarh. It's about 4 hour or so drive between the two places. Returning from Bandhavgarh to Delhi, we went to Katani by car and took an evening train from Katani to Nijamuddin(Delhi), arriving by 10 AM or so. Travel time between Bandhavgarh and Katani by car is about 3 hours. There is a train available to Delhi from Umaria also which is only 30 km from Bandhavgarh.
