Puri Experience: Puri in the coast of Orissa is the best destination for a short holiday.It is one of the best beach in Eastern India.. Well maintained.. Clean and beautiful.Waves are awesome here.. Loved it.I try 2 spend any short vacation here.As it is economical and 2-3 days is enough for relaxation.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Try Fried Sea Food sold at the beach side in Swarg Dwar.. Bt the hygiene is always a question.. It doesn't suits everyone's appetite.. Do try the famous Khaja & Chena (Soft Milk) Sweets from Kaka Tua at Swarg Dwar.. Sight seeing: Konark Temple; Chandrabagha Beach; Ramchandi Temple etc. apart from the famous Puri Dham Jagannath Temple for what Puri is known for.. Do try Chilka Lake during the winters.. Bt it takes a hell lot of a time on the boat so please never go empty stomach and try to carry loads of food and booze (if you like) on the boat with yourselves.. Do also try the Chop wala infront of the Tosali Sands Resort's gate... (Tosali Sands resort falls on the way to Konark Temple from Swarg Dwar / Jagannath Temple)... Ask your driver to cross Tosali Sands.. Right infront of the Tosali Sands you will find the Chop wala and Tea wala.. Try both of them ;)

Activities & things to do: Me and my friends filled up the coconut shell with beer and sat at the beach during the evening.. No1 understood that we are boozing and we had great fun ;) :P :P Always go for the sea facing Puri hotels... If you want to avoid crowd try hotels towards Balai Panda police station like Hotel Niladri; Hotel Harekrishna etc. These would be bit expensive in comparison to those hotels in Swarg Dwar area..

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Take train till Puri if you want to stay there.. Don't try to travel by car from Bhubaneswar.. You have almost everything available in Puri.. Swarg Dwar is a super market place.. If you stay near Swarg Dwar you dont need to worry for anything.. Food is also decent in Puri.. But the auto walas are bastards.. They never talk below 100 Rs even for a short distance.. So beware of them... NEGOTIATE WITH EVERY DAMN PERSON be it shopkeeper be it car wala !!
