We had been to Mysore during the world famous Dasara this year. It was my childhood dream to watch Mysore Dasara live which I could accomplish this year. Despite huge crowds milling on the streets by every minute, we could get fantastic view of decorated elephants, tableaux from different regions and finally golden howda mounted on elephant carrying Goddess Chamundeswari was a treat to watch. We also visited Brindavan Gardens, took a boat ride, watched musical fountains and laser show. Truly it was riot of colours and a lifetime experience, which we will cherish for long.

Brindavan garden, one of the best place to visit in Mysore. It look awesome at the evening time. As the name says Brindavan is just not a beautiful garden, it is spread in acres of land so those who love to walk in the evening will love it I'm sure about that. The garden filled with architecture beauty and sculptures moreover there are a lot of things to buy near the path of garden which includes spicy, mouthwatering fish items and in the evening you can see the laser show in the water fountain. Even though Brindavan is a crowded place we can feel the calmness around there.

Brindavan Garden has been famous among tourists for a long time now. It is a huge garden with lots of fountains. Post 7pm as it gets darker they lit up the garden and hence it is so beautiful to see the lights on the fountain. I am not a garden person so I did not enjoy as much. But definitely a well maintained one.
Advice to the traveller - If you are not a garden person then you can skip this place. It is not extraordinary and it is very far from the city center.

I really wonder why this place is even on a list of places to be visited. Place is not maintained well. The fountains do not work. The only positive thing is that they don't charge you for parking the car.

Brindavan Garden is nice but musical fountain is outdated ... It was same as I visited 10 years ago .. No updating with time and technology .. If you really wanna Enjoy musical fountain you must visit Akshardham Gandhinagar Gujarat and Akshardham Delhi. You can't spend more than 1 hr. Click some pics, enjoy the garden view and come back.
