It's a master piece & heritage symbol of Hyderabad. It was constructed in 15th century for the symbol of rescue from cholera. Charminar (Four pillars) of height 160ft. The landmark has become a global icon of Hyderabad, listed among the most recognized structures of India. It is one of the tourist attraction in Hyderabad. Bangles can be found at cheaper rate. Some restoration work was going on when we visited otherwise good place to visit. Though this part of city is crowed it's better not to bring your vehicle. Adjoining Charminar a famous ban gal market is there where you can go for shopping.

"Amazing Minar"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Nov 8, 2017
Charminar one the best place to visit and the best monument to check out. The best part is to see Hyderabad is to climb upstairs which they allow you as entry fees is merely 15 rs and one can see the beautiful minar from inside and outside also. The entry to this area is bit risky because of narrow space to climb stairs so one need to take precaution. Please visit early as this place get close by 5:30 pm.

Charminar is a famous landmark of Hyderabad. It is considered as a fine example of Cazia style of architecture and is made of granite and lime-mortar. Located towards the heart of the city, Charminar was built in 1591 by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah.

Charminar has four arches, which in earlier days faced the royal streets. The minarets, which stand on the corners, are about 56 meters high. These minarets have double balcony. There is also a mosque towards the western side of the fort, on the roof.

There are about 149 steps that lead to the top of Charminar Fort.  Tourists can have a bird's eye view of the bustling city of Hyderabad from here.
