"Experience Water Sports - Para Sailing"

  • 6.0/7

Volvo beach is well connected by busses from Margoa, you have frequent shuttles between localities to Colva. Hence it's crowded with local people, also has many good beach facing properties with great view of these sunset beaches. There are enough shacks to compare with calagute-Baga beach, however Colva not as happening as those. Most notable attraction is the water sports option, speed boats & para sailing bring many fun lovers to Colva beach. For a first hand one minute para sailing experience you may just pay INR1000. It can be beat the beach shores or in deep waters. Both are fun. Enjoy your tune here !!

"Must visit - if in south Goa"

  • 7.0/7

From cleanliness, to good crowd, from shopping to good eating joints, you have everything here.
The beach is big but still very clean and we like this beach most in south Goa.
A good beach to visit with friends, family or couples.
Don't miss this one if you in south Goa.

"Excellent beach in Goa"

Great beach. Don't forget to take your swimwear, chips, reading material along, you will just fall in love with the beaches of Goa. You would like to spend the rest of your life in Goa. Some of them even have Wednesday flea market, some night bazaars, so the beaches will keep you busy.

"Full of desire for mystery of ocean"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Jan 27, 2016
Colva impedance to Margao makes it an ideal summer retreat for Margo's residents as well as for visitors and for me. My life is full of desire for the mystery of the ocean, and the heart of the mighty ocean sends a awful sinus through me. It is one of the South Goa's oldest and most developed long white sandy beach, from the Mormugao peninsula in North to Mobor in the South, is the longest uninterrupted stretch in Goa. Today it draws vast numbers of visitors, who spend the day enjoying the lively atmosphere of its beach shakes, set high on stilts and backed by shady palms. These serve delicious grilled lobster and other seafood specialities. For thrilling experience wave riding, para-sailing and few other water sports are available. Once you are back from the beach, it's beyond imagination to presume that we, live in a material world.

About Colva Beach

86%
voted as clean

Colva Beach is located at a distance of around 11 km from Varca and is considered to be one of the largest beaches in the world. Situated on the western side of Margao, the beach stretches over 25 km and is covered with white sands.

Dotted with coconut palms, the beach is located on a coastal stretch that begins from Bogmalo in its north and ends on Cabo de Rama on its south. Sprawling across South Goa's coastline, the beach served as a site of Mundanca or change of air during the colonial rule.

The Colva church, which represents the architecture and lattice work found in the century old houses or villas, is situated nearby.
