"Hampi the place, who loves to enjoy and know"

Hampi Experience: It was once Capital of Vijayanagara empire. This scenic city of past has got many thing to offer for those who loves to enjoy the beauty of old days design architecture, Arts, and natural beauty of Hampi village. I suggest the people, visit this place during off season, as you will enjoy the place with less tourist, no much crowd, rates are very less, like guide hiring, hotel stay etc.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is nothing much any attractive items to buy at Hampi. During sight seeing, no good foods shop/hotel were found. As there is no good hotel nearby in Hampi, I stayed at KARTICK HOTEL (HOSPET). The Hotel was good with reasonable rate, of course due to off season, the rate was little less. But I enjoyed food at Hotel Malligi Restaurant (HOSPET),the restaurant was nice and A/C, enjoyed our NV lunch and dinner there. In Hospet, you can see the TungaBhadra Dam, it is just as good as Mysore Brindavan Garden. But still we enjoyed there. For Hampi, sight seeing, next day, morning after B fast, around 0930 Hrs, we driven our car to Hampi which is just 12 KM from HOSPET. Half day upto 3’0 clock seen all the important places and then back to Hospet. Hospet is a small town, where we enjoyed the evening by doing some shopping.
Activities & things to do: While sight seeing, one must carry some dry foods and water or buy cold drinks when there is little hot during off season. But you will enjoy the cool breeze all through out the day. we traveled around many temple & palaces etc. But one must be prepared for a long walk.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: As we travelled by car From Bangalore, it was very very beautiful (NH 4) road. Just pay around of toll tax of total Rs. 145/- (15+29+50+50) and enjoy the driving of around 210 KM upto Chitra durga. Then take right to NH 13 for 140 KM upto Hospet. NH 13 route single road, out of which around 60% very smooth journey and 40% is very tough journey with lots of patch work and pot holes over the road. It took total 7 and half hours journey. While driving NH 13, be careful for opposite direction Bus and loaded Trucks, and lots of Humps while crossing near village area.
