New Delhi is capital of India also called Heart of India. You can plan to visit Delhi at least 4-5 days. There many places to visit but if you have times then you should definitely visit AkasharDham temple, Lotus temple, India-Gate, Red-fort and market like Chandani-Chawk, Sarojani Nagar, Karol bagh, Rajpat Nagar etc. There are multiple options for Food Restaurants, Street Food. So over all winter is best time to visit here.

If you have some time, you should definitely visit India Gate. It is a destination which you can cover in half an hour if are urge to go fast. Nearby Metro station (Central Secreteraite) 1 km from there. Juz walkable distance from Metro station. Or you can catch the auto

"Our capital attracted me for its diverse culture and of course food !!"

Capital of India or heart of India: the better description can not be given but felt. The historical places like Red fort, Jams masjid, Qutub Mubarak, gateway of INDIA, lotus temple are attractions but nevertheless foodies can go to Chandni chow, paranthe wali gali for sumptuous and economic meals. Shopaholics can visit Sarojini nagar, jawala hedi, CP and so on. Evenings could be spent in Kingdom of dreams or disc like Imperfecto !! Amazing experience and worth enjoying. Economical too

"Good place for visiting Historical monuments"

Delhi has a lot to offer for History lovers. It is a perfect mix for contemporary and old historical / traditional things. It is a true cosmopolitan city as well. Food lovers - this is your place to visit for sure. Whether it is old Delhi Chandni chowk food shops/stalls or New Delhi fast food joints / cafe etc.
Must visit places of course, India Gate, Red Fort, Lotus temple and Indian Rail Museum. Take a Metro ride on any route just to check how much it has covered Delhi and how it has changed the way Delhi moves. An special line for airport connectivity from New Delhi Station is superb, Fast and on time.
Whether it is local market or long drive, you need to negotiate a lot with Rickshaw drivers. They are big punters in giving triple amount charges for a ride. So if they offer 200 bucks just offer 80. Believe me they will say yes finally.
Try to go during October- March period as it is winter there. During summer you will be choked with extreme heat.
